Very good truck stop. First the positives:-1. Food good quality and decent sized portions which also means not the cheapest.2. Staff friendly and chatty.3. Good truck wash.Good nights sleep level car park.4. Car park full every night.5. Gate locked at night with security.Negatives:-1. If you don't book you can't get in.2. Cafe shirt opening hours 2 until 8.30 can't get hot drinks in morning.3. Can't lock shower doors early in morning.

Sticky pork belly and rice, not truck stop quality food, way better than that. Glad I chose that over the ham egg and chips.

Decent and secure Hgv parking! Very tasty food. Clean toilets and showers. During the day you can get your lorry washed too as they have truck wash on site. Great members of staff.

Stopped here to have a quick shower before heading back to Kent, I explained to the attendant why I was there so he parked me up close to the entrance, as I walked into the cafe the attendant told me one of the showers were free so go straight in, they must have been the cleanest showers I’ve ever used! Good space and the water was perfect, I went into the cafe afterwards and ordered the big breakfast, the food is AMAZING! Great staff very polite, cafe and shower are ridiculously clean! next time I’m in the area I will be staying the night

Very helpful. Even help out fridge drivers believe it or not.Clean toilets and nice food. Site also has a key fuels bunker. And a truck wash in the day time. Would park here again for sure.

I visited Risby Truckstop restaurant today. The place is impeccably clean, with clean shower facilities. The shower heads need replacing as they shoot out a spurt of water to the shower door. The restaurant was clean with a friendly staff member. The quality of the food was not good however and was overpriced.Nearly £10 for a breakfast in a place serving truckers means that a driver could be spending £50 on breakfasts alone during the week.My meal was a full English breakfast. The beans and tomatoes arrived stone cold suggesting they used a microwave to heat them up, a quick blast in a microwave will give the illusion that they are piping hot, yet after a few minutes they turn stone cold. The eggs, "sunny side up" had not had chance to cook properly. The top half of the eggs were raw. I was able to scrape off the clear uncooked egg with my fried bread. The bacon was luke warm at best.I generally got the impression that things were pre cooked and then heated. So, I left having had a nice shower and a bit disappointed about the food. There was, only one person doing everything. If there were at least two, the food could be cooked to order. I noted that it was still "breakfast time", however, although the fuel station and truck wash were non stop, not many people were stopping to eat.If the food is on par and priced for the clientele (you would pay £10 in a normal restaurant - not a truckstop) then word would spread and people will go out of their way to stop there during the day.My review is honest, not with any malice and constructive - I would like to see what can be a hidden gem do well. But in the spirit of honesty, it's fifteen years since I last ventured there - because the food was not up to scratch last time, and it will be a little while before I give it another chance. All the best
