Another lovely meal on our way back home to Cornwall. I had cheesy chips with chicken strips, barbecue sauce, and spring onions extravaganza. Delicious. Service was friendly and efficient Just the job.

Staff are nice & friendly and enjoyed my steak and chips. Nice little place to meet up with friends and family.

Good luck trying to get a seat at Route 38. As family and friends have noticed, this establishment is not a patch on what they were 2 years ago sadly. Over time the service has slowly diminished in quality, having to wait longer to get served etc, but now we can't even get a table to eat at, best to go next door at the The Windy Ridge. We have been eating at this dinner for many many years and never had an issue until lately. Always managed to drive in, park up, walk in and have a seat no matter the day or time, but not anymore. The past 4 times we have visited we have not been able to get a table, even though they didn't seem at all busy and we could see there were plenty of empty tables and staff standing around. We were asked if we had reserved a table, which we hadn't as we were just driving past, and so we were told we would have to wait at least 45 minutes. Seems that you now have to reserve a table in advance rather than just turn up? We could see that they have been advertising for staff for a while now, perhaps there is a staff shortage and they can't cope, why are staff leaving? We won't be returning to Route 38 unfortunately. Not the dinner it used to be. We popped next door to The Windy Ridge, much better service.

We are regulars here and I would like to emphasise that we absolutely love the food and service every time! However, tonight for our Valentines meal we had a really bad experience and service was not amazing. We were put on a table next to 3 uncontrollable kids (not the restaurants fault for their behaviour). They almost sent our drinks flying, my chair was being kicked, they were screaming, gagging and basically being an absolute nightmare. We discreetly asked/begged the waitress if we can move tables (the restaurant was almost empty) the waitress said no we’re fully booked so all tables are reserved. We then ate our meals as fast as possible so we could leave. As we left, the restaurant was still empty. We could have been moved tables, even if it meant we only had limited time. Limited time would’ve been far better than the table we were on.Service could have been much more accommodating by moving us. They could clearly see we were having a poor time with kids screaming and coughing all over us as they were watching. Just some feedback from regular visitors!

Such a nice restaurant in the A38 westbound into Cornwall. It’s an American themed restaurant that serve US and UK styled food.Has a reasonable size car park. Lots of tables to sit at. Staff are lovely and service is generally fast. Food is cooked to order. And you can see the chef cooking your food.Portion sizes are quite large and piping hot when it arrives. Please be considerate during the current times as the staff do have family to go home to.Please use sanitizer’s and wear a mask.I generally don’t worry about CVD-19 but I do respect the people that work in places like this.CheersDR

Always love having a meal here on the way home after a holiday. Wide variety of food. My favourite is their Tennessee Burger paired with the luxury flake hot chocolate. Be sure to call ahead of time to book to avoid any disappointment!

Lovely clean place to eat, friendly helpful and hardworking staff. Thank you for allowing us to arrive over an hour earlier than booked.

I normally don't stop at places, however on this occasion I was invited by family.A pleasant surprise.Clean, with good covid regulations.Polite and professional table service was offered. The breakfasts were cooked well and arrived promptly. They seem more than happy to cater for personal tastes, having scrambled instead of fried eggs for example or toast instead of fried bread.Lavazza coffee on offer is a pleasant surprise and a step above some of the coffee I've had on occasion. All in all, a worthwhile break and stop.Would stop there again.

Amazing food, friendly staff, reasonable price and amazing atmosphere. Next to a petrol station, which handy when heading out after going to the adrenaline quarry.😃
