Fine, old traditional village pub, recently refreshed and refurbished, with new friendly proprietors and deserving of support. Real ales and good honest food with a German influence, at very reasonable prices. Recommended!

Shame about Tony's lease being ended. Lovely pub. Good beer and food. Good luck and best wishes to Tony for his future.

Great little traditional pub, with excellent real ales.

Recently reopened, 2 beers on kept well. Limited food at the moment but hoping menu will get bigger.

Lovely location and unpretentious pub. Tony is the perfect landlord and this pub is exemplary in every way that a pub should be. Shame others can't be like this little gem! (And the bitter brewed on site was spot on too!)

We got a warm welcome from Tony the landlord cum chef, and also from the locals, The food was really delicious and very keenly priced, and it is all freshly cooked to order. The building has lots of character, just like the landlord. Will definitely return!
