Had a curry at the Beehive last night, cracking food and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Liz behind the bar is so welcoming. Just a very friendly quaint local pub. Thanks for a lovely chilled night 👍

Very surprised and pleased! The chicken jalfrezi curry was very tasty and to be honest, I thought better than some of the curries I've had from restaurants in town.Kobold lager from Adnams was a bonus too!The classic fish and chips was tasty, so all in all, a nice, value for money Saturday night down the pub.A thumbs up from me 👍

The waitress was very friendly and chatty. The starters were fine, they were the best bit of the food we ate. Then we had the mains and two of our party chose the beef burger. I can honestly say it was the worst burger I have ever eaten. It was like someone had taken a cheap beef burger, had grilled it for far too long till it was chard and then had put it away for few days and had decided to microwave it for our dinner. It tasted like cardboard. The "chips" were and tasted like cheap french fries again from a supermarket. I was really shocked anyone would serve that to customers. We were being treated to this dinner. We were very hungry and ate most of what was on our place. You can eat almost anything with mayo and ketchup. Both myself and the other person who ate a burger spoke out about how bad the burger meat was. However it was decided jointly that I would not voice my opinion to the waitress as to not cause our friends embarrassments. If it had only been me, I would have sent that burger back to the kitchen. But it wasn't' and so I did what we collectively decided. I go and write a review. Needless to say, I will not eat there again.

We've called in here for lunch mid ride out a few times now, the chap behind the bar is anyways really friendly and wished us a safe ride back home today which was nice.Good food (mushroom stroganoff was really nice!) and a nice selection of drinks (although anyways lime and sodas for us mind!). Nice wee garden, cosy restaurant area and a proper pool room - ideal mix for a traditional pub :)

When the chef was not available Liam jumped in and did us a fantastic meal a few weeks back. He produced some great food for us. Normally he runs the bar and keeps a happy and friendly pub. As a local its my favourite place to meet friends and enjoy a relaxed few hours be they lunch time or evening. Glad to see more folk are discovering what an excellent traditional pub it is.

Consistently superb! I had a pork roast dinner today, which was my second visit this week. Every mouthful felt like the best think I’d ever tasted. I real treat! The staff are lovely, the beer’s delicious, the toilets are immaculate and the pub’s nicely decorated.

I consider £11.50 for a burger and few 'chips' very poor value. The burger was tasteless, the chips were over done and hard, they went cold very quickly. The beer tasted as though the pipes needed a good clean through. Really not a very good experience overall and will definitely not be trying it again.
