Good food. The roast has declined in my opinion but still a good roast.

First visit here since new management. Will not be going again!! Ordered two ribeye steaks with triple fried chips. Chips were stale and discoloured my steak (medium rare) was cold. My husband had his steak rare and all though not cold it was chewy then he found a piece of plastic wrapping round the fat of the steak !!. Management apologised and took off the cost of husbands steak but charged for mine even though I ate just two or three mouthfuls couldn't eat any more after seeing what was in my husbands steak. Poor customer service, poor quality food and over priced !!!

A warm welcoming pub, lovely staff, professional. Superb, fresh food. Varied choice of menu, something for all tastes. A relaxed atmosphere. Great range of drinks. For me, the range of Nethergate beers on offer, in perfect condition, just sealed the deal. We will be returning very soon.

Really great Sunday roast !! Tasty meat, crispy roast potatoes, really nice and cheesy cauliflower cheese.. and lovely puddings (sticky toffee pudding!). Would definitely come back again for Sunday roast.

Really good falafel burger and sweet potato fries. Nethergate beer a definite plus. Friendly staff and great atmosphere

Fabulous Sunday lunch. Traditional roasts, but restaurant quality starters..pear, walnut and blue cheese was fabulous, as was the black pudding scotch egg, oozing perfect soft boiled yoke.My roast beef was perfect. Beautifully rested a great selection of vegetables, all beautifully cooked... My friend loved her pork with crunchy crackling. Our only niggle was that the potatoes could have been roasted for another half hour on high.. they were just cooked, but we both like crunchier onesThe portions were too big for pudding, but we had a traditional tea and a fresh mint tea on a comfy sofa.The staff were excellent. As attentive as needed, bit obsequious and knew when to discretely withdraw which helped make a fantastic experience.Thank you all. We will return!

Love their courtyard for a chilled outdoor bev or their beautifully decorated barn restaurant is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. Ask the staff for specials when you visit, the chef is exceptional. Lovely vibe here.

Great value for money, delicious food. Friendly and professional staff and it makes it a lovely atmosphere too.

Amazing food! It tasted better than it looked, which was impressive because it looked awesome. Staff are also fantastic :)
