The Pakenham Fox in St Edmundsbury

We ate at The Fox when visiting family nearby. And boy we were not disappointed in the slightest! The welcoming atmosphere was great and very friendly. The food was great, good portion sizes, and very good value for money. We were a mixed bunch of adults, children, vegans, vegetarians and big meat eaters - and all were very pleased with the choices! In fact it was so good we went back two weekends running!! The second time of visiting they had the BBQ going. Lots of choice for all again. Order your meat/Veggie/vegan choices, all cooked fresh for you, and help yourself to lots of different salad choices. They even had steaks (with a small extra charge) which was perfectly cooked! Couldn't of been happier! Lots of outside space/tables. A play area for the children and lots of space for them to safely run around!And not forgetting a very large choice of Gin and different flavoured tonics!!! Couldn't recommend this beautiful pub more!

Really nice country pub, lovely atmosphere, a great place to relax in a large garden, good selection of beer and gin, and decent pub food, will definitely go back often 👍🏻

We came here on a Wednesday night after trying 2 local pubs that didn't serve food. We were not disappointed! We both had the fox chicken burger and it was delicious. Generous serving, piping hot and super tasty! Really good sign to see lots of people eating on a random Wednesday night too! We sat in the garden which was beautiful and huge..definitely bringing my husband and children back! Looked like lots of local beers and ciders too. We will be back!

Surprisingly large pub for a small village. Huge garden for the children to play in. Had a superb Sunday roast served by friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
