🏠 39 Churchgate St, Bury Saint Edmunds IP33 1RG

"Queens is a restaurant and bar located in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. We are an authentic smokehouse serving homemade American inspired food. Our bar is cosy and serves cocktails, wine & good beer, we show some sports, have monthly live music, a monthly quiz and also a games room with table tennis. We are dog friendly and have a courtyard garden."

A wonderful old welcoming pub that served the most excellent Sunday Lunch. I can't fault anything (not that I want to) from the friendly, helpful staff to the perfectly cooked and presented meal (the ale is good too), it was most excellent and I highly recommend it.

A well-patronised, well-appointed traditional.country pub in a wonderful location. Haven't tried the food lately, but was always quite decent. Disappointed only with the prices of drinks - almost a tenner for 1 pint of beer and two soft drinks - and the beer was a short measure. Can/should do better than that Scott! ☹️

We had a delicious Sunday lunch here today and couldn’t have asked for better quality food or service. The atmosphere in the pub is very relaxed and everything you’d hope for from a Suffolk country pub. Probably my new favourite!

We stopped to grab something to eat and wasn't not disappointed. Food is amazing and the atmosphere was just how a pub should be. The staff and locals are super welcoming and friendly. One of the best pubs I have been in. Keep up the good work

Great pub for a drink as well as for food. Extensive wine list (especially for a pub) which does not disappoint.Solid Sunday lunch offering and very generous portions. Owners friendly and welcoming and often put on excellent fun events such as wine tastings and for the summer solstice (at least before Covid). Dogs are welcomed in the bar and good space outside as well.

We visited late Friday afternoon on a cycling tour. We'd been searching for a pub for several miles when The Queens Head appeared like a mirage. Luckily they were still serving, we had a fantastic fish & chips and a few beers, the Belgian Leffe went down particularly well in the garden in the sun... it was perfect.

Great views, and windswept on a sunny day. Super quiet and filled with friendly locals. Highly recommended on a tour of the Suffolk countryside.

Gr8 Country pub, friendly attentive landlady/ staff & delicious home cooked food !

·

Very nice, good food and very good drink selection. Quite busy, which is always a good sign especially if get drinks served quickly, which we did. Different vegetarian options (not just nut roast or risotto). Unfortunately got orders muddled, incorrect (but chose to eat it) and missed one main out completely otherwise a 5 star rating.
