Had to ask for menus and if we could order even though staff was walking around doing nothing. Drinks took 20 minutes, and was rude when asked for some spoons! Food took nearly an hour to come. No apologises, rude staff. Shame because the food was reasonably nice.

2 x coffees. 1 bacon baguette. 1 sausage & egg baguette. Very nice. Just popped in with no prior knowledge & was pleasantly surprised. Service was good & was quite busy.

The food, the service, and cleaniness of the place is fine. Very competitive price for the portions they give. Takes a long while for food to come though so ensure some spare time if you would like to visit.

Called in for a quick lunchtime bite. Couldn't resist the "small" full English. There are two bigger versions! Good value, friendly people and dog friendly. Definitely a place to eat in Bury St Edmunds.

Had a building project near the caffee, had my breakfast and lunch on a daily basis for a month there, staff is lovely, polite and profesional. Highly recommend to visit! Carrot cake is amazing, so as lovely lady baking it at home! Thank you for looking after me :) All the best for you all!

Used to love eating here, no idea what's happened to the place but won't be returning. Shambles! Upstairs was ridiculously hot and the air con was presumably broken - still. The wrong order arrived first off, they tried telling me I was wrong and had ordered a salad.. I said no, sandwich - she had even asked me if I wanted white or brown bread! When it arrived the filling was stingy. Came with a "side salad" with no dressing?! My sister didn't eat her "chicken salad" - chicken/bacon/mayo sandwich filling dumped on the side of the plate with a pile of bland lettuce leaves, a pile of red cabbage, bland coleslaw, a few silverskin onions.. looked like what you'd get in a kebab shop. I left a lot of mine too. Asked for some water at the start, had to remind them and when it finally arrived it was warm!! One couple left as they were messed around and the couple behind us said their food was bad too. Staff seemed clueless, several times coming upstairs with food or drink and not knowing who's it was.. I said I thought that was what table numbers were for!! Such a shame.

A very nice and cozy restaurant to have breakfast. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Food arrived without much of a delay. Everything was tasty and we really enjoyed the Breakfast. Make sure you get a seat by the window to get the best dining experience. I recommend The Suffolk Carver. Thanks.

Great food, amazing staff and a wide selection of foods. Very healthy options and great drinks such as the hot chocolate which is what I get. Fabulous! !!

Went in with the idea that this place would be a carvery. Downstairs was small and smelt like meat and food which was better than upstairs which was thick with the smell of grease. No ventilation to get rid of this smell, we sat in a dark corner upstairs. Food was average, coffee was below adequate. Server was friendly, don’t think we would not go back.
