First time back in Barrow since covid hit, pub had been taken over and food has gone down hill. I ordered a burger which was fried, onions rings really greasy and chips are cheap and nasty. There were 3 of us and my friend enjoyed her chilli but the other one had ham egg and chips which was mediocre.Put us off from coming again, which is a shame as we loved the pub before, food was excellent then.

We’ve been coming to the Three Horseshoes for years and have been pleased; however, the pub is under new management, and it shows. The menu has changed, to be expected, but the food portions have drastically changed. We paid £5.95 for 4 onion rings of calamari and £12 for ham, chips and an egg that turned out to be two pieces of thinly sliced lunch meat. We were so displeased with our meal, because we paid £35 to leave hungry and head to the chip shop right after. The environment was also a little off putting. We didn’t feel welcome by the staff, which was odd since we’ve never had an issue before. We’d love to go back if some changes were made, but until then, we’ll spend our money elsewhere.

Very good roast dinner. Service was excellent. Believe it us under new ownership.

Authentic village pub but the whole dining experience needs finessing. From the limited range of drinks to the mistakes during service, by way of the undercooked potatoes and bought-in roast meats, Sunday Lunch at the Three Horseshoes has a lot of potential but is currently only mediocre at best. Pricey too.
