Really excellent. Delicious, beautifully presented food, attentive and friendly service with great attention to detail. Still well spaced and masked and covid careful, thank you.

Theobald's is nothing short of a perfectly balanced and round gastronomic experience. From the decor and ambiance to the food served, everything was in its right place on its right measure. Personally I went here for a birthday, in a private dining location within the restaurant. We were seated next to a cute fireplace in a living-room-like area, it was very nicely decorated and felt cozy in a way that reminded me of an old family home. The food was wonderful, I had venison wrapped in pancetta with a juniper flavoured sauce as my main, a cheese soufle as my starter, and a chocolate pudding with raspberry ice-cream. Everything felt carefully crafted, with a lot of detail put into making every dish feel unique and satisfying in of itself. I would definitely recommend Theobald's Restaurant if you are looking for a delightful meal and price is not a problem. I usually spend much less on my meals, but Theobald's is one of those cases where I'm willing to make such an exception.

First time dining at this lovely little gem of a place. We had some friends visit for the weekend and at the last minute we decided to go for Sunday lunch. Found this place on Google search, called and booked. What a lovely place! The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely 1st class. Throughly enjoyed our meal and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place!

Excellent meal at this Ixworth restaurant. Tasty French food, done to perfection. 5 different bread rolls, great amuses bouches, varied menu, including deserts. Just the right formality of service, done correctly. Good value wines. A real gem.

I booked for my birthday with friends and wasn’t disappointed. The restaurant looks very welcoming from the outside, with hanging planters with colourful flowers framing the main door. Upon entrance we were greeted (I assume was the owner) and seated. The restaurant itself is thoughtfully laid out, with space between tables and an air of a cosy living room. We were seated near the small bar and opposite the hearth. I recommend this particular table as it was quiet. Although the restaurant was busy, it’s wasn’t noisy. The service was quick but not rushed. The menu options - although not extensive, was varied enough for choice. I opted for the smoked salmon starters. The presentation and flavour & texture was of the quality I’d expect in Michelin star restaurants. For mains I ordered the bream. Again all very amazing. The weather vernal bill for 4 of us, including a half bottle of red came to £160 - including tip. Outstanding value. Very recommended.

Have eaten at Theobald's a number of times and the quality of the food has been excellent. Service is way above average and they whole restaurant seems to be family run. There is a nice feel about this restaurant and that's why we return.

A group of friends visited Theobalds on a Saturday night. On arrival we found the welcome very nice and understated and the appetizer and drinks while we waited for our table relaxing and most appreciated. We pre-selected our menu choices for their ease, but the wine list was thorough and well priced. The food was excellent and service at a high standard throughout. With a vegan diner given a lot of consideration for her needs and from what I understand a great garlic based salad and a lovely pastry and strawberry sorbet. If this was explained when pre-ordering, I would of given six stars.
