El bar de tapas in Stevenage

It is the first time I went, amazing and wonderful place, staff quite friendly, pleasant and delicious food and good Spanish and enjoy every dish I felt like I was in Spain ... a bit of Spain in England ... I recommend this site to everyone, atmosphere and nice music to go with family or friends ... Wishing to go back to celebrate my birthday there will be soon

Had a very nice meal late Saturday afternoon and managed to get the benefit of the 3 tapas for £9.99. So we had 9 plates between us both along with wine then finished off with sweet, then cocktails. The ambiance was very good and typically Spanish tapas style and very busy 4-5pm. The food was tasty and their cocktails spot on with friendly and bustling staff. The only downside was that an additional tapas plate and 2 drinks that we didn’t have were included in the bill. This should not happen with electronic real time ordering and check out. So check your bill carefully.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! Great atmosphere, the food is incredible.They offer this 9.99 for 3 tapas lunch menu too.The staff was excellent and friendly.Rarely you'd find a combination of all in one place!

A beautiful place, nice atmosphere, good Spanish food and good service. I will definitely repeat again.

Lots of the food and drinks was really good and tasty, including the amazing drinks they do, which were delicious and looked amazing, they were presented so well. I recommend the patatas bravas and the other photos I listed, however I highly discourage getting the paella, the appearance is good, however it was mushy almost like it has been microwaved and was stuck together in lots of places, it also had no flavour at all. Despite this, the paella was taken off the bill, so at least there’s that.

El Bar de Tapas was a real find - as was Old Stevenage! We were lucky enough to visit on a sunny spring day - sat outside and we could have been in Spain. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient - while understanding that two old friends who hadn't seen each other for ages didn't want to rush. I'd definitely go again.

Walked in to el bar de tapas with no reservation on a Saturday afternoon and were promptly seated. 3 for £9.99 was a great value option for Lunch with any additional items on the menu being priced at £3.33 each.The drinks were good. The sangria was a bit on the sweet side for my taste and the Aperol Spritz had a twist I think with orange flavouring added to it. I liked this addition!The service was prompt and polite and no one left you waiting which was great.Will definitely go again to try more from the lunch menu and the paella!

Stopped here whilst visiting Stevenage Old Town and what a great surprise. Haven't had Tapas much tbh and really enjoyed the restaurant's interpretation of this multiple dish classic meal.The waiting staff were attentive but not intrusive and really polite. As soon as we were seated fresh bread and aioli was served.All of the dishes we ordered were flavoursome, perfectly prepared and really quick to arrive.No the portion size isn't huge but for the price was very reasonable.Really enjoyed our meal and have already recommended the restaurant to friends.

Cute little restaurant. Lovely food and great fast service.We went for the tasting menu offer and tried a good range of tapas. They were all lovely. My favourite was the braised pork cheek.

This place was recommended by friends and so I travelled here with a bestie. Service was impeccable. The server recommended a lovely red wine which tasted sublime alongside the delicious food. Well priced and good portion sizes, I would highly recommend this place.
