New Gate Of India in Stevenage

Please find another Indian as this place is a waste of your money. The restaurant used to be really good. However, over the last 3 years it has dramatically gone down hill with poor quality food and inadequate service staff. We will not be returning, they are even unable to supply a decent poppadom!

Same gravy base for almost every dish. Chicken was overcooked, too dry.

Actually Disgusted today, they cancelled my order, have ordered previously from them but last time they put coconut in our food which sadly im allergic to.... tonight placed an order explained i have a nut allergy... they cancelled our food as obviously cant deal with nut allergy now... ok wont be ordering from them ever again... actually Disgusted cancelled our meal cause i have a new allergy!!!!

Good food however they forgot to deliver my beer. They happily came back and delivered the beer. Shame that poppadoms and dips aren't thrown in as a freebie.

I went in for dinner as a part of the 50% off, however, the service was slow with my food being cold by the time it reached my mouth. The presentation of the food was brilliant though.

Food ok, good price. Lads on table next to us too close and played own music through phones. Where are the manners and why didn't staff deal with it. Social distancing measures lax. Don't think I'll return until it improves.

Been using this place over the last 20 yrs but sadly over the last 2-3 yrs it has gone down the pan.The last meal we ordered was cold,the meat was tough as old boots and the poppadoms were stale. Emailed the shop and they never responded so obviously they dont care so for these reasons we will not be going back,shame considering how long we used them. RIP Gate of India.
