Sala Thong in Stevenage

Multiple things were wrong with this place. When we sat down on table we were served prawn crackers without being asked for preferences, allergies or without being informed of what we were being served. I am allergic to shellfish and my husband is vegetarian and it really annoyed us. We ordered udon noodles from the menu since they were spicy and we have quite a high spice tolerance. However, we were served with something that was horribly spicy and burned our mouth. We had to drink a whole bottle of water with our food. When we asked the person serving us they mentioned that they thought since we were Indians we would have a higher spice tolerance and hence they served us food which with loads of chillies. She even ridiculed us for not having enough tolerance for spice. I was appalled by that comment. We paid and left however I think we should have raised this issue with the management.

Have been here a few times. Delicious and authentic tasting food. Good variety for all tastes and priced well for what you get. Have recommended on a number of occasions.

The food was AMAZING!! The waitresses were really polite and helpful.The service was really slow, so do be warned.I wasn't sure if they were under staffed but, seriously we had to ask them to bring out our mains, we were waiting that long!!

The food is always amazing here, although service can be a little hard to get sometimes as it can be super busy, it is extremely worth it. The food is to die for and the atmosphere is nice as well. I’ve been twice so far and will definitely keep going back.

Had a brilliant evening at the restaurant. The customer service was friendly and efficient.Cocktails were strong and all plates were delicious! Can’t wait to return and try some other food and drinks on the menu!

I love this place when travelling this way; you're guaranteed a warm welcome. Food is really good and full of Thai flavours that transport you thousands of miles away to a far-off land. Add a glass of Singha on draught and away you go. Pricing is not bad either and the portion size is just about right. Go on, give it a try...

Possibly the best Thai dining I've ever had. Lovely ambience, great selection of food and drink. I had the Pad Kra Pao and it was delicious - beautifully flavoured and just the right amount of chilli. Absolutely recommend dining here.

Amazing food with a great ambience to socialise with friends.The food is one of the best that I've had for a good price. Highly recommend.

Stopped by for lunch and opted for the lunch menu which consisted of a starter and main with a glass of house wine.Starter was delicious, we both got the chilli squid which was on the small side however the mains made up for it - perfect amount of food overall.My partner got a pork belly dish and I chose the duck curry - both were really tasty and authentic.Nice interior, friendly staff. If you’re in Stevenage, I highly recommend this restaurant in the old town.

Food was yummy and the staff were lovely.They didn't rush you like some places do.The only reason I gave 4 was because there weren't a lot of desserts too choose from, but that's just personal preference.Other than that it was great.
