Sam Pan Takeaway in Stevenage

Our usual local Chinese and they do well and the lady at reception is always kind.

Excellent food and excellent service, have ordered regularly from Sam Pan and always enjoyed it!

Usually delicious, however, the noodles in the chow mien I ordered today were inedible - they appeared uncooked yet burnt, similar to bachelors noodles from the bag, like they’d been thrown straight into the frying pan without preparation. When I called the restaurant I was told the order was for crispy noodles… it certainlytt isn’t as not. I’ve ordered this meal many times it has NEVER arrived in such a state before.

Terrible food - ordered a king prawn noodle and veg soup. Very bad taste and had to thrown the food away :-( wont order a 2nd time

Used Sam Pan many times and always enjoyed our food, that said, fried rice is sometimes tasteless.

Awful isn’t even strong enough a word. This establishment should be shut down by health and safety. If I could give it zero stars I would. The worst takeaway I’ve ever had. Chicken balls were all stuck together and rubbery; clearly cooked weeks ago and reheated as they were cold in the middle. Worse still, the chow mein was not even cooked! The noodles were not cooked!! They literally snapped as I tried to get them out of the the tub.Not a single thing about this Chinese takeaway is positive (apart from the delivery man... he was pleasant and friendly). Should’ve heeded the other poor reviews, instead I’m sat here awaiting a bout of food poisoning.

Absolutely disgusting attitude to say the very least!We ordered a meal around 1830 on the dreaded Uber Eats, we waited 2.5 hrs, no update, phones off the hook so decided to go down there.Spoke of the issue, the Chinese lady was polite as she could be which the same could not be said about the bloke dressed in a black jumper. He doesn't seem to take criticism nor confrontation too well. His words were "I don't want an argument but I will" - is this really how you treat customers? We confronted him to which no reply and continued whatever he was doing out the back.Came out with the order that we decided to cancel.Upon confronting him the bloke mixed his words and blamed us for not understanding what he said. Believe us, we knew exactly what was said.After all the commotion, the order has verbally been cancelled, whether Uber chooses to cancel is another deal but seriously, appreciate some customer might have good experiences but this one took the biscuit (putting it politely)Overall, whatever your name is, you're a discredit to the outlet and I hope you read this with embarrassment.Disgusting service from start to end.Just learnt that this place was raised by border force some time ago. That I'm really not surprised.

Food made all our family gag! Chips old and refried, alwful veg, duck tasted off, sauce unfresh and old. Pancakes discoloured and floury smelling was not edible at all. Very gutted as we dont eat chinese that often and it was meant to be a nice treat. We had to throw it away and went hungry, was so put off it was unreal! My husband isn't normally fussy but he couldnt even stomach this! Absolutely disgusting yuk. Put me off wanting take away again after this

Terrible food .Worst Chinese I have ever had. Weak watery sauce. Rice had no flavour at all. Meal was not hot. Very poor quality chicken meat used and overall greasy meal. Will never go back and would suggest anyone looking for nice Chinese food to look elsewhere. Seriously!!! One star is far too high a rating by the way. Far too generous
