I think the best Indian food in Stevenage. The chefs specials are superb.I have only collected - the food has always been on time, correct and not.Depending on the time and day, the parking in Old Town can be ridiculously difficult (e.g imagine driving around for 10 minutes to find a space).I don’t understand the comment about all dishes being the same - very far from it. I would always go for Surma in spite of the parking shortages.

The worst curry I've had so far. All curries have the same red sauce but with different meat. This is not curry!

Ordered delivery. Was told 45mins to 1 hour. Food finally arrived after 1 1/2 hours. Sadly food was not in the best quality as it was cold.Shame as the food has been good in the past.I always ask delivery time so I then have a choice to order unfortunately this time it did not come good for me.

Best Tarka Dall (Dhal) I've ever had. Right consistency, lovely flavour. All the dishes were delicious, good quality and good quantity.

The customer service was fine when I collected the meal but whilst eating it, my partner had a large piece of egg shell in his Sheek Kebab dish. Luckily he does not have any allergies but this could have been very dangerous. I could understand how a small piece of egg shell could be missed but this was larger than a 2 pound coin in size (and I am not even sure if there is egg in this dish?). The mint sauce was too thick and not minty. The butter chicken dish I had, had a thick layer of oil sitting on the top of it.This was our first experience of Surma and unfortunately we will not be returning.
