Tarla in Stevenage

A very lively place to be but it was very cramped inside and noisy with even louder music! The waiters were keen to take our order which was very good and we were served in good time!However, the whole experience felt rushed, they couldn't wait to clear the empty plates (whilst some of us were still eating!); They didn't offer us the dessert menu (had to ask) and we were (kindly) ask to leave at 23:00 when their website says they're open till midnight!! Didn't feel welcomed really ☹️However, the food was fantastic with very good portion size 🙂, so credit to the chef and his team!

Amazing experience!! We are definitely coming back. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. The food comes very quickly. Overall the restaurant is phenomenal and we highly recommend it.

Went with my wife last night and have not been to this restaurant before. So glad we did! It had a nice ambience to it and it was fairly busy.Our waiter was great. We explained we had not been before and was not sure on portion sizes etc. He made some good suggestions and we definitely was not disappointed! A great little shared Meze starter with the best Falafels we have tasted!! The sausage pieceswere amazing!The main dish again was to share and a mix of meats served with rice and a salad. We could not fault it! Such lovely flavours and more than plenty. In fact we could not eat anything else and rounded it off with Turkish coffee and Turkish delight!! Both bloody lovely!!All the staff were lovely and polite. Thank you all for such an amazing night!! We will definitely be back!!

Great food, great environment, great staff.Why not 5 stars? Food seems overpriced for what it is, and portion sizes on some of the dishes seem quite small especially with prices greater than £15. Even kids meals are close to £10 for chicken nuggets and chips.Can't bash the quality of the food,but the prices do stop me giving more than 4 stars

Yet again the best Turkish restaurant around. Food to die for with service and staff second to none. For Valentines the restaurant went that extra mile with a lovely back drop of rose petals, a rose for the lady plus heart shaped candles and balloons.

Went in a group of 8 on a weekday evening. Staff were friendly and attentive and food was nice. I had the lamb sarma beyti for £19.50. This consisted of skewered, charcoal grilled minced lamb, rolled with thin lavash bread with cheese. Sliced cut on the plate with homemade tomato and pepper sauce and melted cheese on top served with yoghurt.As you can see the plate was huge and full to the brim. I did think the prices were a bit high and there could have been a bit more taste in the meat and sauce, but overall was nice.

It has always been very nice place and tasty food. Went for Valentines meal and all seemed fine. At night both of us started feeling unwell and been sick. Today we are still not feeling great.Yesterday during the day we only had usual breakfast and then this meal, so it couldn't be anything else to blame.Service as always great and polite.

Amazing food and very welcoming and friendly staff. We normally order in from them and always loved the food. The prices are higher and the portions smaller (but still very big) when eating in, but it's certainly worthwhile. It is not the cheapest, but 100% recommended.

What a lovely find, just off the High Street in Stevenage. A wonderful welcome by the staff, a quick and efficient service in warm and relaxed environment. And the food was delicious, and cooked to perfection. I liked everything about the place and will definitely be going back.
