Not sure if they have changed the chef, but the food is definitely not as good as it used to be.

Ate at the restaurant for my Mum's 50th birthday recently as a family. Table was booked weeks in advance and there was a total of 18 guests. I am well aware it was a large group and expected some delays etc but we were waiting for food for over two hours. Half of our part had eaten their meals by the time others even had any food. My sister has a dairy allergy so informed them when the table was booked and asked for a vegan meal to ensure she could eat. The restaurant agreed the cater to this for her. Once we had ordered, she was informed infact the chef wouldn't do this for her and agreed if we provided a steak, they'd cook this for her. The steak was taken to the kitchen and never cooked. She went hungry and had to purchase a sandwich from a local shop as she was breastfeeding. These are only a few examples of the awful service we received. We tried to speak to them about the shocking service and was met with hostility. We recuctanty paid, minus the price of a few drinks (as we were being hounded to pay up, assuming it was fear they wouldn't pay). We have celebrated many family birthdays at this establishment and have always been very well looked after. You upset my mum on her birthday and we will never be returning.

No proper response or information provided by the lady receptionist. worst customer service. Talking very rude disconnected the call while talking I won't recommend it again

Food was delicious however when I went to this restaurant they forgot to greet me despite the fact I was the only guest. I was like OK, I sad hi they didn’t say a word.. No worries.. When I was leaving I paid special attention to be loud and clear when I say good bye. Again, not a word! What’s wrong with you people? I was there to spend money, you don’t need to lick my bottom but at least say something on arrival. A hello or a hi would do.. This is basic education and if you have a shop/business, restaurant it’s a must!

Ordered from Uber Eats and not our usual takeaway. OMG so glad we did. Arrived on time (delivered by staff) and was hot. Presentation was really good, taste was even better. Fresh tasty and very good portion size. Chicken tasted and looked like chicken, poppadoms were nice and crispy, and the chocolates and hand/face wipes are an added bonus. Will definatley order from here again.

Missing items from delivery. Took 40 mins to deliver the missing item. It didn't even look edible it went straight in the bin. Don't order the lamb morisa unless you like eating bright florescent green curry. Will never order from these again.

No manners at all. I ordered a dish through just eat before and wanted to order the same dish again as a take away today. The man over the phone was extremely rude and mannerless. I informed him that when I ordered it through just eat I had made a little note with the extra requirements. Today he was just interested in saying nothing can be changed. I wanted to ask him a few things regarding the dish and he just hanged up. Absolute disgrace. It doesn’t matter if you order for 10 pounds or 50 pounds the service should be the same. I will never buy or order anything from this place again no matter how the food taste. Hope this review will help someone at least.

Ordered from these for the first time. Absolutely delicious food, piping hot, presented beautifully even down to the hand wipes in a thank you packet and three chocolates. Will be back ordering ASAP. Thank you

We have been using this restaurant for the last few weeks. Food is always outstanding and a great service, best in Stevenage! We ordered a collection on Sunday and one dish was incorrect. Taste of india delivered a whole fresh meal at no extra charge. We will definitely be ordering from them again very soon. We would highly recommend them and the little extras treats make it extra special. Thank you.

We have ordered from here many times and have always been impressed (and I’ve previously left good reviews on just eat). Yesterday evening, we ordered and the food was inedible! My other half has such a bad stomach today and it is most definitely down to the food we ordered last night!
