Quite busy but isn't it wonderful to see people, family and friends dining out together again in such large numbers?Any visit to a restaurant, and how first impressions count, depends on the initial response from staff. Here they are obviously customer focused. That's a fantastic quality. Every staff member was polite, courteous and helpful.The food was very good. The open choice delightful and generous even on a standard portion.Worth a visit. Enjoy!

Lovely food last Sunday, even do a kids size plate for dinner at £4.99 so great value for what you get. Drinks always came quickly and the waiter that served us (can't remember his name sorry!) Was great and delivered good service for us all. Thank you!

Absolutely superb. Nothing short of incredible!! From the food to the service. You made our valentines extra special. It was our first one celebrated as husband and wife due to the pandemic. We've missed out on doing all the usual first year things. Thank you!

A good carvery needs to provide good food and good service. This delivers both as we were well looked after by Laura this evening. Despite a very busy evening she was quick to help us with our evening without being intrusive.

We all enjoyed our meal here Boxing Day - our waitress was delightful, the food was delicious. There are little to no covid restrictions here, we all had to cue for carvery pretty close together, which made us all pretty uncomfortable. I would be happy to go back, but not until either they have more covid protection for customers, or I feel comfortable enough to do so. Tables were also quite close together. Overall, good food and good price.

Aaron our server was fantastic from start to finish, was very helpful and couldn't do more to make us feel welcome. You definitely need more of these staff in your branches. Outstanding customer service from this member of staff.

Christmas Dinner with family enjoyed by all. Fantastic service. All table waiting staff went the extra mile and were all very helpful. Food tasted great. Always nice not to have to cook or wash up on the big day.

Had breakfast before going to football. Really good selection and able to help yourself to as much as you want. Good plateful sets you up for the day. Good value and friendly staff all set in nice comfortable surroundings. Would highly recommend.

Ordered through Uber eats, 2.5hrs late. Ordered for 4, 2 adults, 2 children… children meals were forgotten from order. Food portions were very limited, beef and potatoes very over done.. stuffing portion barely served one child. Toby’s lied to us as to when the food was collected to be delivered. We then had to go down personally to collect forgotten meals and food was not sealed correctly in the tubs so had to recover the meals from in the bag. Not usually a Karen to complain but this situation was an absolute joke. And only to repeat from a poor situation the previous time we had ordered. Only half the bill was refunded and blamed it on being “busy”, but if they cannot handle orders on a Sunday, the most popular day for a roast then clearly there is a problem with the management! Will not be using Toby Carvery, Stevenage again!

Well all I can say is that Jonathan and the other staff went above and beyond, to help me make my parents 50th wedding anniversary the best ever! Unfortunately I couldn’t make the event, I had spoken to Jonathan about my plans to dress their table for a surprise.He kindly offered to do this for me. I took up the party materials and left them to it. To my surprise they used their helium and made the table look fabulous!My parents were delighted! And shocked! Many tears were shed with happiness that night. My parents loved what they did and the food was amazing for them all. Jonathan sent me pictures so I will share them with you.Thank you Jonathan & Toby carvary staff xxx
