We stayed for two nights at the beginning of April. The grounds are beautiful and are covered with spring flowers, there are also footpaths around the hotel, which is situated on a quiet lane surrounded by fields. The staff are polite, friendly and work hard to ensure your stay is a happy one. We forgot to book for dinner our second night so a table was set up for us in the Lounge, where we had brilliant service. We had the Seckford Room which is full of sixteenth century furniture. The bed was a four posted but with a modern, comfortable mattress. We enjoyed our short break in this beautiful part of Suffolk.

Great hotel. Lots of charm and character. We had a lovely dinner. The Dry Aged steak was delicious. Staff attentive and polite. 5 Star every day of the week. Not expensive. Thank you for a great stay. Philip and Maria

What a lovely hotel, great rooms and the staff were so nice. The food was amazing. Good selection and beautifully presented. The breakfast was lovely too and freshly prepared. Only tiny minus was the shower in the room wasn't very powerful. Would definitely stay here again.

Really pleasant visit. Have also stayed here and genuinely feels like a trip back to the medieval days. Air con generators can be a bit noisy for some of the rooms and the bathroom decor is not really in keeping with the era or indeed modernised to a standard you would expect. Food is excellent, the rooms comfortable and the grounds are extensive and interesting with some lovely gardens a nice lake and courtyard in which to have a drink. The spa needs refurbishment as the sauna and ‘gym’ are very old but the pool is a good size clean and perfect temperature. I would recommend Seckford Hall for a visit.⚔️🏆

I feel that some of the reviews for Seckford are a little harsh and pretty unfair. We spent one night at Seckford this February and couldn’t fault it. The building is stunning outside and equally stunning inside. The staff were always welcoming and friendly. We took a standard double room, it was lovely, not huge but had a lovely 4 poster bed with a couch and a lovely bathroom with a bath!We had lunch and breakfast, food was lovely. I had pancakes for breakfast and my hubbie had the smoked haddock and eggs and it was beautiful. The floors are a little creaky, there’s no elevator and some windey staircases, but this is a period building so of course there’s no elevator, the stairs add to the charm! The grounds are really pretty and are nice to stroll around! The pool wasn’t open but it does state pretty clearly on all of the correspondence we had with the hotel that the pool isn’t open so this was no surprise so don’t really feel people can complain that they weren’t aware of this. Honestly when I read the previous reviews I was a little nervous but actually was really happy with our stay! Lovely hotel and would definitely recommend!

Lovely grounds and restaurant and staff lovely. Some issues with room but quickly resolved. They are clearly in process of updating, and I look forward to seeing the continued upgrades to make for a more luxurious stay. Real shame the pool is out of action but one of those things!

Love staying in this hotel. Great staff, lovely bar, the guests are usually friendly, great breakfasts. The rooms are so different to the new built characterless rectangles they've become, enjoyable to stay somewhere with character

The luxury suit was amazing, shame the spa facilities where closed. Only thing to improve on is to include a mini fridge and a blue tooth speaker and some drinking water for the room and a tooth paste. Other than that the suit was amazing . Staff really nice. I would go again when the spas open.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. The highlight of my stay was the hospitality from the staffs. Excellent service throughout, attentive and helpful. The positives far outweigh the few negative. Definitely would stay again and happy to recommend this hotel.

A mixed but overall positive experience. The majority of the staff are passionate professionals, however, some were very inattentive. One night, we ate at the 1530 restaurant and had to wait 30 minutes to get our starter plates cleared - this after waiting 20 minutes to have our drinks taken - when you're paying over £100 for dinner, you expect sharper service. For feedback, I'd say that the whole waiting system seemed quite convoluted; some staff could only take drinks orders and some could only take food orders - this felt counterproductive when the drinks staff were more attentive and present, but the food staff were a no-show.We stayed in a deluxe room in the courtyard, which was cosy, tidy, and well-heated, but lacking in some important touches - for example, a visibly broken spot light in the bathroom, flickering lights in the bedroom area (presumably the wrong bulbs for a dimmer switch), and practically unusable internet signal. That said, we had a great time and appreciated the staff overall. It is doubtlessly a beautiful venue to stay at and is obviously cared for by management.
