Ash Smoked Fishes in Suffolk Coastal

Found this on a lovely day trip to Aldeburgh. Oh wow!! The selection on their counter is fantastic. Lots of choice. We had one of the sharing boxes which had a little bit of everything in. I can be fussy with my fish (as opposed to my husband) but I tried everything. All I can say is outstanding!! Especially the eel,pickled herrings salmon and tuna. Great value for money too. On the way back to the car we picked up some more fish to take home it was that good

Wow. A busy Easter weekend and the food here was perfection.The smoked salmon on the cream cheese and smoked salmon roll is so tender and delicious. The smoked prawns were so juicy and tasty.This place deserves a Michelin star if not at least 3.Friendly server too.Recommended.

Absolutely outstanding quality. Best smoked salmon I have ever tasted, by far. The smoked prawns are sweet and delicious, a real treat.

Nice proper smoke house shop. Just a hatch to get served through hut you can have a nice look at the selection. There's a couple of tables to eat at. I have cold smoked crusted salmon in an open brown roll. Seems a bit expensive at first but then you see the thickness of the salmon slices and its fair. Not an overly smoky flavour but lovely texture! Great snack stop for some fresh sea food and hand smoked produce!

Really great fish!I had the smoked salmon sandwich (pictured) and the smoked mackerel fillet. Absolutely delicious.You just need to bring your own cutlery unless you fancy eating smoked fish with your hands.

Both had the smoked salmon and cream cheese rolls and the smoked salmon was delicious - soft, tasty and delicately flavoured. Overall quite rich for such a small looking lunch! Being on the beach really makes it.

Instantly went back for third tub of smoked prawns with garlic mayo because it’s so so good!Salmon was amazing too with generous amount of cream cheese :) would highly recommend, all quality smoked fish.We even got some hot smoked salmon to bring back to Cambridgeshire as a souvenir, look forward to have it on our salad.

Biggest choice and great welcome. Delighted to find they sell smoked cods roe - if you've never had it you're missing a treat. Try it thinly sliced on hot buttered toast. Add a fried egg on top for a wonderful snack.
