Bistro at the Deli in Suffolk Coastal

Having been here for breakfast and lunch, both times the service and food (and drinks) were excellent, Very friendly and helpful staff, Well presented and lovely food.

A lovely cafe with very friendly staff. We only had coffee and cake (delicious) but the other meals being served looked great. They are even happy to let you try out your rusty French on them!

It's been a long time to be able to try here. Overall disappointment, my omelette inedible, and somewhat surprised and shocked to smother a delicate smoked salmon omelette with mixed dry herbs!!! I was even charged for it.My friends other omlette also had to be replaced, which was offered, free of charge. Two complimentary coffees were accepted.I would really struggle to find a reason to return.Shame, as French cuisine is right up my street and spent many years associated with France.

Meal arrived and looked lovely until I emptied my chips out of the enamelled bucket, where I noticed large rusty patches inside. On closer examination this had rusted through to the outside. I asked to speak to the proprietor, where a French gentlemen came from the kitchen. When I showed him this, he just patted me on the back, said sorry and took the offending pot with him.I've taken photos which I will be sending the environmental health department.Definitely will not be returning here again.

This place is outstanding. The tapas style dinner is amazing. Vegetarian dishes are something for everyone. Sophisticated dinning in a very relaxed atmosphere with impeccable service. Book in advance.

Best French cuisine I've had in years (during which I've had many trips to France). Exquisite service and a welcome change from the usual Adnams based Southwold dining experiences (pleasant though they usually are).

Lovely French 'patronne' gave us their English breakfast of 1 rasher of back bacon, 2 local sausages, 2 perfectly poached eggs, grilled tomato, and a lovely coffee, all below £11. Not the cheapest, but this is snobby Southwold, so par for the course. No dogs allowed inside, by the way. Would go back.

Superb food and friendly staff - attentive without being overbearing. They went to the effort of making sure we were catered for as vegans and the time we spent there was a delight.

After struggling to find a cafe with space to plonk a buggy we came across La Roc. Getting a 9 month old and a fussy 4 year old settled is not easy but the staff made it a breeze offeting to move tables to accomdate us more easily and earning top marks before we even ordered.They have done a top job emulating a french style cafe with the menu being a good selection of mains and lighter bites. I really enjoyed my meal and will be eating here again next time I visit Southwold.Ps coffee was nicest I've had for some time too.
