Quaint, time warp cafe. We had loose tea, fresh homemade warm scones with homemade plum jam which was delicious. And the carrot and coriander soup they were making smelt amazing.

Great 'Suffolk ham' sandwich with nice views. Would be nice to have more substantial meal options but great for a snack or coffee and cake. Fab views from indoor or outdoor seating 👍

Lovely little venue. We sat on the upstairs verandah and looked over the river on a sublime day. We had lovely freshly filled baps & soft drinks and will definitely go again. You can pop across to Felixstowe ferry & back to extend the experience. Very pleasant. We had our granddaughter (7) with us & she loved it too.

Even on a grey day in summer it's a lovely place to come and have a drink and a bite to eat and enjoy the magnificent views over the quay. The veranda seating is great for enjoying the viewsWhilst your having a hot drink and slice of cake. The lemon placenta was very light and very yummy? Highly recommend it. Parking opposite by the ferry crossing, if travelling on motorbike be careful as there is loose gravel on the car park and this can catch you out if your not careful

On a very rainy day this little cafe was a lovely place to stop and refuel. Just "getting back to normal" after lock down - so inside seating was not ready yet - there was plenty of space outside and as it happened under the cafe too. Service was good, but perhaps a little understaffed bearing in mind it was the holidays. Having said that, you have to have the scones. They are to die for: the fruit scone Congress with Jan and cream, the cheese with chutney and butter. Fresh as a daisy, delicious to boot, and perfect with a side order of olives and crusty bread. Tea was good, coffee also good. Electronic pay, nice views of the harbour. Pop along to this place and keep it going.

A great cafe with superb, fresh local food. The people are lovely and (once it's fully open again) the view from the veranda is stunning. Bawdsey itself is a hidden gem: well worth visiting.

What more do you want when you have a day out at the seaside is a good cafe. After a days walking we found the Boathouse Cafe decorated in RAF Bawdsey rubber rings. There are half a dozen outdoor tables and light refreshments, ice creams teas and coffee. I went for the mackerel sandwich on brown Crusty bread with a slice of lemon. It was wonderful accompanied by coffee which was good and hot. Recommend a visit. Good young friendly staff.
