Butchers Knodishall in Suffolk Coastal

Had a evening meal there but saw a very poor selection on the menu. Food presentation was poor and looked as if it had been thrown together. Both of us felt I'll during the night. Suspect some items ( prawns, ham ) may not of been stored or cooked thoroughly. Would we go back, no.

Under new ownership since August 2021 so don't be put off by previous bad reviews, which are unfair and not a true reflection of what the current owners are doing. The Pub is situated in a small village just outside Leiston. If you want 5 star accommodation with all the amenities then book the Dorchester! However, if you want comfortable accommodation, good Pub food, helpful and friendly staff in an area where accommodation is scarce then this place is just right. Booking in only after 5pm so don't arrive too early. The earliest breakfast is 8am, but they will provide a carry-out early starter if you require it. I stayed in one of the Cabins, clean and comfortable, more than adequate for one person, cosy for two. Lots of changes are being made and accommodation being updated, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again.

Traditional English Village pub and B&B, family run.A bit worn and dated from the outside, however warm and clean on the inside, traditional pub menu, log burner, dart board, soft background music.both a lounge/saloon bar, and an eating/restaurant area separated, friendly locals,Friendly and efficient staff,Accommodation consists of two modern like pods, and three chalet type letting rooms.Breakfast menu also available.Recently under new management who are in the process of updating and slowly renovating a number of areas within the pub.

Without doubt a 5 star review. Called in on the way to football AFC Rushden and Diamonds at Leiston. Warm welcome, fabulous people and the food was superb! This is a gem, be sure to stop off and enjoy 👍😊

Great Find!! Was looking for something nearish to Ipswich but couldn’t find anything and then come across this wonderful place!! Definitely recommend if you are a couple looking for a little break booking the chalets for a weekend.We stayed in No 5 and it was camper van theme room. The chalets have everything you need a lovely comfy bed, tv , mini fridge, fan , heater and also a lovely laid out selection of cereal, tea and coffee.We had nothing bad to say from start to finish of our stay and we was actually sad to be going home we wished we booked another night!! lovely and quiet in the evening you can’t hear the road from inside the chalets and also very private fenced off with your own gate for access and lots of secure parking.There is a high street of shops around 3 minutes drive lots of takeaways in the area to if you fancy something to take the chalet.The owners have put a lot of work into making it into a lovely place to stay and I hope that more people will book to experience it!We will definitely be back if we are near the area again!Thanks very much!
