Cafe Kitsch in Suffolk Coastal

After waiting over half an hour for food of which we were not told of any delay whilst ordering, eventually it came out some 40minutes later after complaining. Ordered a tuna Mayo Sandwich for our 13 year old granddaughter, that came out as a child’s sandwich which was not what I ordered & not fulfilling, luckily we ordered a portion of chips she could fill up on. When asked if everything was ok, I said no & complained about the sandwich & service, of which there was no response or apology given & he was quite indifferent about it. When we complained about the service and that other people were getting their food who ordered after us, we got told that it is because people were moaning to waitresses about the delay in their orders, which was passed back to the kitchen and the chef panicking. This intimates we shouldn’t talk to the waitresses. Not really satisfactory. We will not be going back here to eat again.

Coffee shop and antique shop share the overall space. Good coffee and cakes and looking at other tables the food looked nicely presented and freshly prepared. We'll worth a stop to recharge the batteries.

When I took mum out for drive, we stopped here for coffee and cake, the staff we cheerful, once ordered they brought it to our table, so polite have been back twice now and enjoyed ourselves,

I cannot fathom how the manager of this place can reconcile her rudeness with working in the hospitality sector. The same applies to the irritable barista, who swears audibly when making a mistake with an order. Make no mistake, the coffee and sausage roll were superb, but it's not enough to compensate where rudimentary manners are woefully lacking.

The go-to venue for breakfast, lunch, coffee and artisan collectables! Dog friendly and always busy, even in depths of winter so be prepared to wait for a table occasionally. And if you do, no worries, it a beautiful spot to hang around and watch the world drift slowly by.

The breakfast halfway around on our walk from Aldeburgh to Thorpeness was big in size and flavour.

Made a pitstop here after the 4 mile walk from Aldeburgh to Thorpeness. Very busy but the staff were efficient and friendly. Oh and the coffee was good and not over priced, as is often the case these days.

Great reasonably priced food. Lovely open cafe, indoor and outdoor seating.Good for social distancing.Great breakfast menu, egg and mushroom on toast and sausage and egg bap... went down well. Coffee is not so great, bitter and burnt. Airport coffee I'd call it.But apart from that everything else was great, I'd highly recommend paying a visit.Very crowded during summer months, so get there early.Friendly staff.

Great to see a place working well with all the current issues around lack of staff in the hospitality sector. The staff were right on with sanitising tables etc, nice and polite etc. The food and drinks came out in really good time, which I wasn't expecting (it was semi busy and we had some much longer waits in places locally that were a lot less busy!) Food was good, a little pricey, but c'est la vie, it's holiday season! And it was worth the money to be honest.
