Crown at Woodbridge in Suffolk Coastal

Went in for a quick lunch by myself. Was not greeted politely and Staff were moody at best, was very much feeling judged on the way in. I was then seated in a dark corner despite other seats being available. Staff also seemed to find gossiping behind the bar far more entertaining than their jobs. Food, nothing to write home about and not worth the money. Plus for a trendy establishment sauces were served in plastic packets.

Went for afternoon tea, beautifully set out, rolls, wraps scones with jam and clotted cream cakes and desserts with tea or coffee. What a lovely treat. Service punctual staff friendly, would definitely recommend

Good location, cozy atmosphere, car park in the back. If you're coming for the roast - reserve the roast when you place the booking or come early. The kitchen started serving 'roast of the week' at 12 and they run out of it by 1.30

Enjoyed a surprise trip to The Crown for the night. Superior double room was huge with a great bath and comfy bed. Hotel location was fantastic, right on the high street. Veggie breakfast and continental selection was good. Friendly and attentive staff too.

Wonderful small but fine hotel with cozy and clean rooms. We were upgraded as a party of 3 and had a great time. Despite arly afternoon arrival while closure of kitchen sandwiches with fries were offered. Very good breakfast options, tasty dinner options and most very friendly personal. Also only 5minutes walk from train station with reliable connection to Liverpool Street. At all very valuable stay in Suffolk.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a baby and toddler with us and the room size was generous and beds / cots were just what we needed. We also attended an event in their private function room and the food and service was fantastic.

Good 'pub grub'. Really nice Caesar salad with crunchy lettuce, and dependable fish 'n chips. Fish very well done, chips a bit solid, and mushy peas a bit dry, but Adams Southwold beer very well kept. Pleasant service. Good value.

My husband and I have just returned from a visit to see our son and daughter-in-law who live in Woodbridge, we spent two nights at The Crown and most definitely would stay there again. Of course there are always things that could be improved like a little tweak of the breakfast menu but generally it is very clean and comfortable with pleasant staff. All in all, give it a go, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

We stayed here the night before our friend's wedding in a family room. We had two toddlers with us. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and professional and could not do enough for us. 5/5 stars for service. The room was clean, spacious and was stylishly decorated. The restaurant was well decorated in a modern style and served delicious, good quality and fairly priced food. There were classic pub meals available as well as more upmarket offerings. The staff were very accommodating of the fact we had young children and were even willing to go above and beyond and send food up to our room. We cannot recommend this place enough. I've already started looking at booking here again.Fantastic service guys, left a lasting impression!

A nice stop off in the middle of Woodbridge high street. The decor is very pleasant and staff are very hard working. Personally I felt that the menu was a little limited, but the food that was on offer was of a very good standard. We had the burger and chips which was delicious and extremely filling. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
