Dolphin Inn Restaurant in Suffolk Coastal

Had a lovely meal in the Dolphin Inn. Food was great. Good choice of vegan options which is great for my wife who is intolerant of dairy and eggs. Service was friendly and quick. Picturesque location ... What more could you ask for!

Beautiful place, staff very friendly and service good. Two of us chose the chard spinach feta pie which was small for a main as we only eat mains. More veg was needed too having said that it was very nice, but not worth the price. Very enjoyable time was had in Thorpness for evening.

Good service.Interesting specials board which included fish.Menu perhaps a little limited but quality, presentation and taste excellant.6 in our party and no complaints.Better to walk to inn as car parking awkward...there is a public car park in thorpeness 5mins walk away.Despite being jubilee Bank holiday service unrushed.

Absolute gem! Food excellent, service was friendly and efficient and our room was fabulous. We will most definitely visit again. Highly recommended. 😎

Out for a coastal walk and came across this pub. Lots of seating outside but decided to eat inside, which again had plenty of seating. We decided to have a light lunch so just a sandwich and drink each whilst sharing a bowl of chips. Food was tasty and the service was quick and friendly. Overall a very nice experience which we would recommend others to try.

Great pub under Deben Inns management now. Sensible menu with interesting choices. Coupled with excellent service this pub makes a great venue for meeting friends and family. It was good to return to it and see it doing so well!

We had sandwiches that were very poor, bread didn't taste fresh & hot roast beef was one thin slice that was a quarter fat & gristle.We informed 'front of house' who said she would let the chef knowWe paid in full & when asked was all ok we said, not great.No apology at any stage.Would never return

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, lovely food and dog friendly! Four of us (and our dog) came for Sunday roast and crumble yesterday and we couldn’t fault it. I would recommend booking as they were very busy and most tables were reserved, but luckily we had booked our table in advance. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed a fantastic meal here. Lovely good quality home cooked fresh food in relaxed atmosphere. Good service too. Very pleasant evening. Would happily return if in the area.

Great place to stay. Great food and drinks to be had. Very pleasant staff. Superbly presented and cared for rooms. AND what a very special place Thorpeness is. Highly Recommend and hope to stay again in the not too distant future.
