We took a group of residents for lunch from a care home and we all had tge senior option. What a bargain and delight that was a mini but couldn't be eaten by all. Not for the faint hearted came with roll fish chips peas and tea. The staff were friendly and helpful and would do anything and accomplished our needs. The only downfall I would say is a fold up ramp or something needs to be provided for those in wheelchairs or using a frame as that was difficult for some.

Not a great experience, stood in the queue for around 15mins and once we made it to the counter we were told there was no more fish or much else. There were a few workers in there and no-one thought to come out and let us know. They were just trying to use up what they had left and still reeling people in, chips were dry and we ended up leaving half of it. Chippy on the corner is much better.

Delightful place for fish and chips.Had a takeaway portion of haddock and chips with curry sauce and a cod and chips with garlic mayo.Order was taken with a smile and friendly attitude to help ensure we had a nice beach boulevard lunch.

Got 4 portions of chips yesterday lunchtime and chips were dry and not nice, it was like they were left over from the day before and reheated and even the kids didn't like them so put most of them in the bin.I went back and put extra vinegar on mine and were still dry tasting, absolutely rank.We have got chips from here on previous visits and were ok but not the best with small portions but will go elsewhere next time as very disappointed. If I could give zero stars I would. In response to your feedback I can confirm nothing peculiar for not asking for replacement chips, you should of served decent chips the first time, why would I want another bad portion.Hopefully you can use the feedback to improve.

Decided by grandkids to have fish and chips and every bit of it was beautifully cooked. Restaurant very clean and staff were lovely. Meals were brought to table very quickly and were cooked to order. Prices were very good and portions were really good with the food not being greasy at all and was very tasty. Will definitely recommend this restaurant and if we are back down here on holiday will eat here🙂👍

We ate here Friday 29th April...had a brilliant meal...staff were very kind and chatty. I asked if our well behaved dog could go into restaurant with us to eat ( don't normally think it's allowed) but they weren't busy at that time and he's a medium size dog so he was fine. Had a lovely meal good banter with staff very clean surroundings and even the dog got fresh water an a cooked sausage to eat.....We'll be going again for sure..

not usually one to complain about food however tried this place around a year ago with my mum and we both ended up binning our food, cold hard chips and very questionable burnt fish cakes. I hadn’t been back since until my partner picked it up on the way home last week, giving it the benefit of the doubt from my last experience - however it was the same this time :(, chips were rock hard, freezing cold and tasted like they’d been cooked 2 or 3 times. They have changed the fish cakes since last time which is a plus, but we both binned our chips which is a shame. Waiting times were also very long considering only one other person in the queue, 20-25 minutes wait with no fresh fish ordered for food to be freezing cold anyway.

Not the best fish and chips I have ever had but ok. The batter on the fish was soggy/stodgy as if the fat wasn't hot enough when it went in the fryer, by contrast the children's fish bites, which were quite big, were lovely and crispy. There was a good selection of drinks to chose from and they also offer different flavours of pies ie curry, drunken mushroom, we haven't tried these yet. We like the fact that they offer card payments. The queue outside was quite long but once my order was taken I didn't wait too long so I put it down to a busy lunch time crowd. A mixed review of good and not so good points that's why I gave it 3 stars. OK.

I have used Saltwater many times, including Feb 2022. We have both standard and GF cod and chips. Portions more than adequate, staff very friendly. All fish both filleted AND skinned. Not sure when the negative reviews refer to but not our experience at all. We will, again, travel 25 miles to the seaside, walk our dog and enjoy the food

A few days ago I went for a late lunch at Saltwater Fish & Chips on my first visit to Felixstowe Beach, and what a great experience I had!The food was outstanding, as the fish & chips were cooked very well and the portion size was more than good! Definitely would reccomend anyone to order the mushy peas, tasted so good! The staff were very friendly, polite and hardworking. Loved how the restaurant was very well cleaned throughout my visit and really liked the interior of the restaurant!I will most definitely reccomend anyone visiting Felixstowe to come here for lunch, and hopefully in the near future I'll be back again!
