Friday Street Farm Shop in Suffolk Coastal

Read reviews and popped in for breakfast, expecting an exceptional fry-up, especially with the price and reviews. We'll that certainly wasn't what I received, cold mushrooms, mediocre portions and certainly nothing special with the flavour! Shame, I was expecting a lot more.

Popped in for tea and a sandwich for Sunday brunch. Do not come between 11:30am and 12, noon the kitchen stops serving breakfast and takes 30 minutes to get going for lunch. Perhaps I must suggest they visit many other popular eateries who seamlessly transition from breakfast into brunch into lunch.

Always pop into this farm shop if visiting Snape Maltings, love their cabbages! (see photo)However yesterday whilst waiting at the butchery counter to be served, I was listening to one of the butcher's stating that they' walked the walk ', as well as' talk the talk ', when it came to being a good butchers. I do not disagree.Whilst patiently waiting a man sidled up, then step forward, and started to be served. I spoke up politely and said, "oh! I don't think it was your turn" expecting the customer to say, "oh forgive me" and the Butcher to stop serving him. After all we British know the etiquette of queueing.NO! they continued as if I had said nothing. It became apparent he was a regular. All it would have taken was a simple who's next? Good butchers with a disregard of customer service will mean a loss of sales. This is the second time this has happened. We did not make any purchases, as they obviously did not need our custom. Good Luck to them relying on their regulars!

Haven't been in from before covid lockdown, beautiful shop and amazing products.We loved the cheese room & spent nearly £40 on cheese.The guy serving the cheese wasint very friendly might need to brush up on his customer service skills.Hasint put us off going again for the excellent products & the cheese is outstanding especially the Keens extra mature cheddar.

Farm shop full of nice things, unlike the cafe, stale cakes, I had victoria sponge, icing crunchy could have been a one off but my sister had coffee and walnut and that was the same, cost a fair bit for sub standard cake, tea was OK.

Really excellent farm shop. Good range of fresh produce. Very friendly and helpful staff.

One tables meals are cooked one at a time, no system, so be prepared for a long wait, waited half-an-hour today, and my meal hadn't even been started. Friday Street Farm simply needs some kind of more efficient cooking system. In the end I had to leave without eating. In the past food has always been very good, but take a book or a newspaper as at busy times you are in for a long long wait. Staff could pre-warn perspective customers. I'll go again, but please sort out preparation times. Staff always polite, just a timing and efficiency complaint. Ended up with no lunch!!!! as had to go onto an appointment.

This place is lovely & very homely, with true home cooked meals. 8 of us went today (pre-booked 3 weeks ago) 7 of us had the xmas turkey dinner, which was lovely everything you expect on a full xmas dinner & plenty of extra vegetables. The sea bass looked good & my cousin said it was beautiful. 6 of us had desserts bakewell tart, apple pie & xmas pudding can be served with ice cream, fresh cream or custard. All delicious & generous helpings. Very reasonable price & can be individual meals as a lot of places only offer 2 or 3 courses, but when you have some who only want a main course it's a waste.The lack of 5th star is really because of the accessibility ♿There is a ramp, there is a disabled toilet 🚻, but no designated disabled parking spaces & the car park is in dreadful condition. Huge pot holes & very uneven surface. If the disabled spaces were marked out along the fence of the cafe this would be ideal, but restoration/resurfacing is badly required. I know it's a busy place, but they could close 1 side as there is parking on the other side via the exit route & a pathway could be coned off for access to the shop which is looking great with extension & new entrance. Just car park lets it down.

Changed a lot since last visit & great range of stock. Enjoyed coffee & cake in cafe. Cheese room a wonderful addition but put off from buying by the flies in there settling on the cheese. Pointed out but no action taken to remedy. Won't be buying cheese there again.

Came here for the family fun day, a few weeks ago.had never been before and loved it. The boys had fun with all the activities/rides that were there. The food was delicious. The strawberries were really good and the rasoberries ended up in a delicious cake. We went to the car for some food and the portions were so good. I had a chicken salad and was stuffed after. Definatly going back soon!! Also else had a bit of a situation and staff were very attentive and extremely helpful.
