Half Moon in Suffolk Coastal

The kitchen was closed 19.30 on Friday. We have been told that they are not taking orders anymore. We parked our car 19.34 and my partner went to order straight there. Unfortunately, they have refused to take his order. In addition, I went to ask again at 8 but I have been told same thing. Excuse me, but you saying that we still have taken orders, is not true.

This place is an absolute joke. Most days they don't serve food and when they do it's often not edible. The place is often untidy and filthy and in need of a total refurb also customer service is appalling. Despite living in walking distance we now visit a sister pub in Thetford where everything is 100% and customer service is 5 stars.

As a "Hungry Horse" pub the food is good and consistent, it is very much a family place, parking is easy (if not too busy), nice friendly atmosphere, and pleasant staff and good service,. Nice for a relaxing lunch

We came here because my husband liked another place from the same chain. We were told they didn’t have any of the burgers available, so he went for the one where you get 4 or 5 small burgers, but ordered without the cheese. They brought my scampi over (without the tartar sauce or the offer for any others), and explained that they were having to redo my husbands order because they had put cheese in it after all. It took just as long for it to come, so I’d already finished mine. Also I’d asked for mayo, and they told me they didn’t have any mayo (which is weird for a pub), but my husbands burgers had mayo in them, so clearly they did. The food wasn’t great either, so won’t be returning

Very slow service. Waited 25mins for 1 plate to arrive (only 2 of us eating and only 3 tables in use throughout restaurant), another 15mins passed before the second plate arrived.No apology, never asked for sauces.My wife asked for mayo to be told they don’t do mayo.15mins later my burger arrived, with mayo inside!Chips were okay, avoid the beef burger or better yet go somewhere else.

What more can you say but quantity over quality. Ordered a rump steak (only steak available) but couldn't even get that right! Was it rump??? 🤔 more sinew than meat. Loads of undercooked chips to fill the plate. We spoke to the manager about our unsatisfactory meal and he very blasé told us that, yes, this is the way the train of restaurants were operated now.

One bar maid we waited at least 20minutes to be served. Due to lack of staff the tables were not cleared away although no people were actually sitting at the tables!! First thing we was told was there was no food available not that we wanted any we just popped in for a drink. I will not be returning.

Twice we've been to this restaurant inly to be turned away due them.stopping serving food. I could even understand it if it was a Zaturday night and it was packed to the rafters but a Monday night at 5.15pm.Don't waste your time with these jokers...

Me and my dad meet there its halfway from where we both live and had breakfast. Lovly food and the tea was great to. Staff really helpful and friendly. The place was clean and toilets clean. Would recommend the breakfast and tea. And the price for what we had was excellent.

Went tonight (2nd Aug) for a birthday treat & definitely not in a rush to reappear! I remember food being proper food not what seemed to just be 'reheated' was very disappointed!While ordering children's meals was told there was no peas but yet with the adults order it came with peas? 🤔I ordered a mini mix grill which on reading the menu stated gammon! 🤔 please see attached pic I have had thicker bacon!Last but not least 1 child ordered a pizza which was obviously a microwave job & the plate was far too hot for the child to touch.So my memories of a nice proper meal are completely destroyed!
