Excellent food, I had venison pie, the venison was tender and moist with a lovely gamey flavour. The waiting staff went out of there way to get us a table, even though they were " bank holiday busy"! 5 stars!

Stopped in for lunch. Good menu and food and service was generally okay, but after asking for the bill, still no sign after 20 mins. Difficult to catch staff attention at times

Excellent friendly service and good menu choices. They were easy about accommodating my gluten free diet.I enjoyed my salad but my husband was a little disappointed with portion size of his sides. We suspected the kitchen had run out!It wasn't the best value meal we've had all week of eating out here locally but it was pretty good and certainly worth a visit if in the area.

Bit of a mixed bag. The food was pretty good - excellent chips, good fish, a generous burger. But the service was poor. We had a table booked for 7 pm, sat waiting to have an order taken for 15 mins. Went to the bar myself in the end and got our drinks myself. After having been ignored for 20+ minutes, a waitress took an order from someone who'd arrived 10 mins after us, so I got up again to intercept her and asked her to take our order, pointing out our wait. Food arrived in good time. But when she brought our bill she said the drinks were free because of our wait... She'd left by the time I realised we'd already paid for our drinks. Presumably she couldn't find the order and so pretended they were free. Bizarre. And a bit insulting.

Cheerful pub in a lovely setting. Good food. Some areas dog-friendly. I gather the beer is good, too.

A lovely tranquil Park to stay, made very welcome by owners and had lovely clean amenities. Spotless. Lovely laid out. Will return again.

The food was good but must say there was not much atmosphere. Would have been good to have some music. Also was only asked once after initial service if we would like another drink. The place itself is beautifully done.

Went here for Sunday lunch with some mates. Luckily we had booked which I thoroughly recommend. Warm welcome from the staff on arrival. I chose the roast beef with lovely fresh veg, roast potatoes and gorgeous home made Yorkshire all served with a rich gravy. My friends were all more than happy with their meals. We would definitely go back again.
