Fantastic food with very friendly staff in a casual mariner setting (almost as if you were in a boat). Our server knew the origins of the sea food which was delicious in every meal (oyster, crab, fish and chips). Recommended.

I’ve been eating at Regatta for, give or take, the best part of 25 years. The food has always been faultless, as this photo of my duck main hopefully illustrates! However, since the change of ownership it’s been really disappointing to see some of the service slip. Whilst most of the front of house are lovely, the lady in charge is incredibly curt, and is consistently so.This is a real shame, as Regatta has always been a stalwart of Aldeburgh’s restaurant scene, so it’s unfortunate that its atmosphere should be negatively affected by service such as this.

Absolutely superb food. Haven't been there for a long time but well worth the wait. I had seafood platter which was so fresh, followed by the Skate wing with chips to die for. Husband had the Mackerel with lime for starter and the same main course of Skate. I also had a dessert which is unusual for me. The staff very attentive and helpful and willing to accommodate your needs. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going there again soon. I was going to provide some photos but the plates emptied very quickly before I had the chance.

Delicious simply cooked fresh food. The service was super attentive and friendly. The place was busy with a nice buzz. Some delicious specials on offer. The decor is very obvious and old fashioned with all blue walls making for a bit of a cold atmosphere. Would recommend.

Fresh fish at its best. Fantastic service, friendly atmosphere, and well seasoned, well cooked food. Both traditional dishes and newer flavours. Daily specials. Dog friendly. Decor a little cold and cheap.

One of the best places in town to get the authentic British food. We have tasted Oyster soup, fish and chips. They were so cool and we enjoyed the food.

No need to further your search for the perfect dining spot. I would recommend Regatta to any person, couple or family who enjoy really good, fresh and tasty food, complimented by the very service! Victoria, many thanks for making our dining experience one to remember last night ;-)

Wandering around Aldeburgh at night and by chance walking into the most convivial eatery with welcoming staff and had the most wonderful local Fisher's gin with samphire to start with and followed by exquisitely fresh seafood marvellously cooked. Had to repeat the experience the following night and the slow cooked should er of lamb shoulder with aubergine and couscous was a world class knock-out. Highly recommended. Fair prices too.

We had an amazing meal here while staying in Aldeburgh for a long weekend. The menu was extensive and everything we chose was exceptional, perfectly cooked and so tasty. Staff were attentive and friendly. A reasonably priced evening of high quality food and some good wines. We highly recommend a visit, we will be back.

Excellent restaurant with friendly service and really nice food. Also a huge bonus is that it’s dog friendly. I would like to have given a higher mark but felt it wasn’t quite 5 stars due to the service being a little slow and the batter on the fish being a little heavy. That sounds so picky, and it really was a lovely dining experience, but for the price I’d expect the next level. The gravadlax starter was divine!
