Visited for a funeral wake. Private room. Food was ok but not particularly memorable. Service efficient.Internal decorations a bit oppressive for me. Parts of the building in need of some love and care.

No room service due to the excuse of covid, but no real explanation of what was required and less help with what to do. No need for masks certainly no staff training.

After struggling to find the hotel due to poor signage we found that on arrival the hotel looked a lot more run down outside than in photos, when entering I could see they were aiming for an eclectic feel but unfortunately it felt very messy and overwhelming on the senses. It was more of an assault on the senses than an interesting mix.The man greeting on reception was very polite and friendly but I think he was the only member of staff in the hotel. He seemed to be the receptionist, odd job man, cleaner cook and waiter. He must have been exhausted! The room was very individual, not to our taste but perhaps it would appeal to some? The bathroom however was a sister, it was extremely dated, felt old and unloved. In due need of an upgrade.A room our friends stayed in would surely not have passed fire safety standards or building regs, it was up the smallest staircase and they could barely fit your or stand up on the room, I'm surprised the hotel is happy to sell it as a room and surely they value customer safety more than the money they get for the room? There were mops and buckets and other diy things along corridors which not only looked a huge mess but we're also a fire hazard and safety issue.Overall I would not recommend the hotel and I would definitely point out that the cost is so so much higher than the stay is worth. There was nothing special about the stay and I would suggest trying to book elsewhere before choosing this place.

The place looked nice from the outside. Our stay started well, greeted by a friendly man who we assumed was a handyman by the way he was dressed (paint splattered trackies and jumper). Turns out he did literally everything from the checking in, to the housekeeping, to serving breakfast. We didn’t see a single other person who worked there during our stay. The breakfast was ok, rooms were clean but tatty around the edges - decor was interesting... Upon check out we waited about 20 mins, pressing the bell a number of times and no one came. We left with the intention of calling to settle the final bill only to get an extremely boisterous voicemail on our drive home from Cara chasing payment. We called and paid as planned to then find out they’d overcharged us and taken out the pre-paid deposit and are now refusing to refund the money. A month later and we are still in dispute following some very rude emails from the owner. Customer service is clearly not their forte and it seems the owner has a reputation that precedes her. There are much better places in the area - steer clear!

Really loved this hotel. Welcoming staff, personal service. Comfortable beds and room. Very clean. Great breakfast. All in all really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Hotel a bit on the tired side. Food lovely but thought the price of a glass of wine expensive. Very comfy bed.

Beautiful hotel and great decor, all the staff are friendly and nothing is too much to ask. Would definitely recommend

Welcome to Satis Hotel was friendly, albeit by what looked like the odd job man as he was covered in plaster & paint. My room was spacious & not in the main house. Breakfast was served by the ‘odd job’ man who was dressed for odd jobs again. It was good once the order was correct, even though this was selected the evening beforehand. Evening meal was the same & incorrect wine was served. So many mistakes for very few guests. When leaving to pay the final bill, the owner was at the desk & she was very cold, rude & not able to explain the errors on the bill. Not a pleasant way to leave with a bad taste in your mouth!Would I stay again, maybe if the owner went on a people’s skills course & the odd job man was given some new clothes. All in all 6/10

Very disappointed for price very comfy bed dull and grim decor window over looking back yard with 3 dogs waste. Blood stain on bed linen curtains and net creased needed a good ironing. Shower 30 inch square been in bigger shower in Mobil caravan head hight above toilet unacceptable. Preorder breakfast left under hot lights bacon dried out.so found breakfast below average. Bar pric es way above average £24 for 2 double gin and tonics so walk down to pub. 69p tube of pringles £3. The only good thing was staff very friendly and polite

Had a lovely room with evening meal and breakfast. Lovely place to stay & food great, staff lovely. However you can use the bath as water does not fill it up! After 20 mins only had an inch or 2 of water & after a cold day..... shower was not any better, the water was slow & such a small shower head! Impossible to was my long hair! Water was like warm in evening & too hot in morning & couldn’t alter this. We weren’t the only guests to comment on this. Otherwise a lovely stay but wouldn’t return due to the shower/bath being inadequate
