Given we are surrounded by fish and have some of the finest potato growing conditions in the world, its amazing how many fish and chip shops disappoint, especially for the prices charged.The days of this being a cheap meal are long gone but this place is no more expensive than some of the less worthy .But what a difference, superb fish with a light batter and great chips.Only a visitor to the town but certainly a major positive factor if considering moving there.

Terrible service order online and wait another 20 minutes after collection time only to be told you need to say you've arrived for them to cook your food, surely they cook it for the time you ordered it for ?? When I got it home the order was missing 2 items !! What we got tasted ok !!

Visited yesterday, no communication about length of time for waiting 30 minutes, or that pre-orders were dealt with first 4 people to the same order! This was meant as treat to someone as a key worker. Staff not wearing appropriate PPE and when trying to speak to someone was partially ignored.

Online only or phone before 2pm so you need to plan ahead for this takeaway. After unexpectedly working overtime and hence doing a 12 hour shift on a hot day and finding the other fish and chip shop had a huge queue my partner went to this one on his way home as he was hungry. Staff member came to the door and said sorry we are fully booked with online orders. Sign of the times that a hard working hungry man can't go to a chip shop and buy a portion of chips without a smartphone.

I had a cod and chips takeaway on Saturday and I have to say they were the best I have had, not only in Leiston but also the surrounding area. Service was brilliant, bang on time, nicely presented and good value. Very well done.

Visiting Aldeburgh for the day but swayed by other reviews to come here. User friendly online ordering. Helpful staff. Lovely fish and chips ( my partner had haddock and I had scampi ) and the ratio of fish to chips just right - some establishments dish out far too many chips, making the proportions all wrong

Thanks guys, the perfect way to collect. Lovely crisp batter and quality white fish with perfect chips. Great end to a week in Aldborough. Fully recommend as per most of your reviews. I live in Christchurch bay New Forest. You match our best local fish chippies but the bonus is your great price point. Bosh! Sorted! Get-in!.

Very Covid-secure. Friendly, obviously popular fish bar. Plaice and chips delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend. They also appear to have an efficient online ordering service, which allows you to jump the queue outside.
