Really nice place with a good menu. Staff are really nice. Be sure to book otherwise you could be disappointed.

Warm welcome. Room 5 is large with windows galore. Nice and quiet at night. Bath too.

An old, traditional pub and restaurant....a very nice place indeed. Brilliantly maintained and thoroughly clean and tidy. It has a timeless elegance yet the adjoining marquee for additional dining for larger groups seems to add to its charm. Its setting is its strength being around the corner from the harbour and being in a beautiful village. Prices aren't cheap but remember what you are getting and enjoy a relaxing time

Great place and atmosphere all except the greeting on arrival ! You may like this but being a Traditionalist I like to order my pint from the bar. This is taken away by a young lady taking an order where you stand.. Apart from this 'Great' never ate here but food looks fantastic 👍

Dropped in for lunch and it was so lovely we went back for an evening meal. It did not disappoint. Dog friendly, roaring fire to sooth the February blues.

Visiting from London and was expecting basic pub fare but the food was of restaurant quality. I was the only vegan in the group which usually results in a bowl of chips but they had an impressive selection of vegan specials and dishes the chef could adapt. The seaweed soup was absolutely delicious and I had a vegetable coconut curry for my main which was also excellent. Everyone in the group were impressed with their dishes. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, couldn’t have asked for more.I rarely take the time to review things but this thoroughly deserved my time!

I've been meaning to write this review as we had a really good experience here. The food, atmosphere and wine were all good. What stood out to me was the staff. We came as a family (five of us including my 7 year old twins, one of whom has autism). For anyone who avoids restaurants because of potential outbursts or generally not being able to relax because the have a child with additional needs, this restaurant really understands. There were lovely candles on the table, but my son decided it would be a good idea to blow them all out. He got very overwhelmed and we got stressed out pretty quickly. But the wonderful staff opened up the marquee for us, we had space to ourselves and no candles. There was no judgement, and I was very impressed with how accommodating they were. It was amazing! We enjoyed our meal and my son did too.So thank you all the staff. You are exceptional people and we really appreciated your understanding this day. If we're in the area again, we will def pop by again.

Had dinner with drinks. The service is very good. We had the garlic bread as a starter, which was delicious. My partner had the salmon. Fantastic and we shared an excellent sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The Adnams Ghost Ship beer is very well kept.Masks are required as you enter the pub and worn by all the staff. So the COVID recommendations are being closely adhered to.We've had two lovely evenings in this pub. Worth booking, if possible.

Plenty of well spaced tables and seating. Good wide tables so that even when eating there was plenty of distance between us. Table service, and staff were all masked. Customers were required to wear masks when walking in and out to the toilets. Friendly staff and good service. Also good food and real ales. We were sitting in an outside area with a roof but other than that open sided with plenty of fresh air. 2 parking areas. There were also a few holiday apartments in pleasant surroundings belonging to the pub, so might be a good spot to stay for a few nights.
