Superb. Has to be up there in terms of one of my favourite country pubs in, er, the country.Staff couldn’t be more accommodating and the food is fantastic. Having visited in the run up to Christmas the place looks amazing with the decorations and fireplaces.Congrats to everyone at The Crown it’s a wonderful place to grab a drink or a meal.(Any Detectorists fans might recognise the interior as well…) Pub? Go on then.

Popped in after seeing the sign post on the A12 coming from Woodbridge. When we arrived we noticed we were too late by five minutes for lunch but went in anyway. Pleased to say the staff asked the chef and we were able to order lunch. We were given a choice of three menus a lunchtime special two meals for £12, a burger menu and a pub classic menu. We opted for the lunchtime special with my wife having the slow cooked beef stew and I chose the gammon pineapple & chips. Both were lovely two clean plates at the end says it all. We decided to share a dessert and that was as good as the main meal. We will go back should have asked before we left if they do Sunday lunches. Good selection of drinks and two good locally brewed bitters from cask. Staff give you a warm welcome and helpful throughout your visit. A great pub and would highly recommend a visit.

Poor service, staff didn’t know what wines they had! Worst mussels and frites I’ve ever had. The latter arrived tepid and the muscles were tough (overlooked) and just tasted of seawater and onion. Very disappointed.

It's not open just yet but always a friendly place to go for great Beer and home cooked delicious food. It is a free house so great range of beer and lovely atmospheric bar and seating for restaurant eating area. The garden is lovely in the summer too.

Good food, huge portions (for the starters, which were great!) but the main was just average. Service was good. I'd say it's worth it overall.
