Delicious food. Waiter was attentive and knowlegable about wine and the menu. Wonderful friendly atmosphere with log fires and tasteful decor. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this pub/restaurant. As soon as you walk in there's a warm atmosphere. The staff are really polite and helpful. The food is delicious too. 5*

Good food and relaxed atmosphere, went for lunch and although we only had mains we were under no pressure to leave the table which was refreshing even though it was relatively busy. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Really nice traditional looking country restaurant with a warm, friendly atmosphere with a good selection of ales and ciders.The food was simply brilliant, suitably portioned at a reasonable price for the amazing quality and skill involved. Good points: Promising old pub in charming village. Polite service.Bad points: decor/furniture felt cheap. Sat next to toilets (pet hate), patchy food quality (boring crayfish starter, good pork belly, bland cauliflower curry, overly sweet Eton mess, squishy Apple crumble, wildly different portion sizes.Overall a big disappointment

Really superb Christmas dinner this evening for our party of 20. Food was piping hot and perfect cooked. They accommodated our shuffling round of the tables so thank you so much. Would highly recommend

We where a party of 26. Our experience was shocking. We where expected to fit across 3 uneven tables. There was not enough room to fit us all. The manager was very aggressive when we came to settling the bill. It's wasn't a short notice booking either.The only positive was the food was nice.Such a shame as it was meant to be a grand finale of a fab wedding weekend.

Had dinner here tonight with friends and we all enjoyed it very much. I had duck breast, dauphinous potatoes carrots and cavelo nero, and my friends had seabass. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and my friend had a chocolate pudding. It was all very tasty. It's a lovely pub with friendly staff.

We had a lovely lunch for 7 people. Beautiful old pub in a lovely village setting with a good menu and all the food was excellent. Although it was very busy the staff were very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back
