🏠 The Grn, Grundisburgh, Woodbridge IP13 6TA

"Award winning family-run pub serving fabulous food, real ales, wine and gin. Current title holders of Suffolk's Best Pub 2019 and Most Dog Friendly Pub in the UK 18/19! So it goes without saying the pub is extremely dog friendly and allow dogs anywhere their humans can go! There's a dog toy box and a Doggy Dining Menu which includes a Sunday roast for dogs! There is a lovely sheltered Mediterranean styled beer garden at the rear of pub with enclosed children's play area. Set in a pretty Suffolk village location just off the green. On offer: real ales, restaurant food, light lunch menu, wood-fired pizzas (please check fb page for pizza serving times), regularly changing specials board, vegan and free-from friendly!"

Lovely pub with great food and friendly staff! Very dog friendly, they even moved us to a larger table to give our dog a bit more space and offered treats and water. We would definitely go again!

the chicken wings ever had … always nice food to end a ride

Massively disappointing experience. Booked for a pre-Mother's Day lunch and on a wonderful sunny day so we asked to sit outside at one of the many, many empty tables with our kids and dog. Staff said no. We were made to feel like we had asked for a massive favour from them. Sorry to make your heads explode with our basic request, guys. They said a big party had just booked, but there was no evidence of this whatsoever. Clearly they wanted to only walk so far to serve food. Usually food establishments try to accommodate the customer, but our request to sit in the near empty garden was too much for the poor dears. So we settled our kids and dog inside. Then they begrudgingly said we could move outside but it was too little too late. They didn't have drinks we ordered and just made up their own versions hoping we wouldn't notice. Not even apple juice for the kids. None of the reviewed-about water and treats for the dog. Water bottle brought when asked for, but they said we could use the glasses we had other drinks in. I mean, come on. Not sure what was going on, but it was a mess. Such a shame. It's not that hard to be good, so try harder.

Sunday lunch well served, good value & a pleasant atmosphere. Child and dog friendly too. Well worth a visit but bear in mind tables are rolled over for repeat sittings.

Very nice pub, good prices and the food was very tasty. I felt bad how much I actually ate but it was good stuff! Will be returning soon. Staff also very friendly and polite

The pub is extremely dog friendly. Our puppy was served a smal bowl with water and some miniature size treats. He will definitely want to come back. We had the Sunday roast and it was delicious. The beef was good quality, the gravy was tasty and the Yorkshire pudding was excellent too. So we will come back too.

An absolutely delightful pub and restaurant. Great food, great service, reasonably priced and located in a small lovely village. They even served my lab with a small bowl of complimentary treats (much to his delight).

Incredible fillet steak and sticky toffee pudding in a beautiful and quintessentially English country setting. Excellent service too.

·

5⭐ service, atmosphere and of course food 😁 and have to say a special thank you to the chef for being so accommodating with our 3 teenagers' request for burgers and fries instead of having the Sunday Menu on Father's Day 🤗🧡

Stopped here for a spot of dinner one Saturday afternoon in September. Pub was fairly quiet and although we hadn't booked, they had a table free in the restaurant (though it was early).Food was tasty, good portion sizes and well presented. Staff very friendly and the service was quick. Reasonably sized car park at the rear and small outdoor area with a few tables and a small play area with slides to keep kids happy. Plus a few tables out the front.
