The Eels Foot Inn in Suffolk Coastal

The ploughman's had no butter for the bone dry bread. A ploughman's with no cheese on the plate !!!. And the apple was brown it was £10 they must have been laughing. The burger on toasted bun was ok i spose it came with a few chips and a small salad for £15 nah I'm done with dinners in pubs...

Would have got 5 stars if we hadn't ordered food. One of my party was refunded for their meal, another had theirs replaced. I ordered a vegetable curry and for £14 got served a child sized portion, the curry part would have fit in my palm. Vegetables don't cost a great deal so felt quite ripped off.All in all poor experience, all caused by quality of food.

We have just stayed fir 3 night lovely accommodation really friendly and help full staff we ate in the pub yes you had to wait but food was great well do e team loved our stay we will be back

We used to come here all the time as the quality and setting was great,but the food today for the price was awful. If we hadn't have had a small child to feed we would have left. I had scampi which was accompanied by nothing but a few chips, nothing special at all, also found a hair on the accompanying lemon. The chocolate mousse was the only mousse I've ever had that was so solid that I could stand the spoon in it. Staff borderline rude. Won't be back, this was a previously a favourite, the are much better pubs for the price locally.

We live locally & used to come here a lot with the family. The food used to be delicious and service used to be fab! This place has sadly gone down hill. Poor service - every plate of food that came out went to the wrong table including ours! Staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. We waited for over 45 minutes for our food even though we were one of their first orders and it wasn’t busy at all. The food was not only poor quality and children’s chips overcooked ,my grandson then found a hair in his burger! We were not offered a refund although they replaced the burger my grandson had lost his appetite by this point. I ordered a panini & instead was given what looked like a brown roll that had been flattened in a toaster. It was cold and miserable looking. The prices of the food you would except quality .Sad to say we won’t be returning again.

Food was good with gluten-free and vegan options. Friendly staff. It was a nice late lunch stop on a hike. We were there when the place was pretty empty. Enjoyed sitting in the garden outside.

Pub lunch in the garden 30 mins after it opened. Was warned of a backlog already. Waited over an hour for our food as did everyone else in the garden. This has always been a favourite pub of ours but the food was only just OK. I had to send my soup back because it was cold. The accompanying 'fresh' roll was dry and unappetising. There seemed to be only one person serving and meals brought out from the kitchen in 5-10 minute intervals. Very disappointing.

The beer served was mediocre at best.Some of the food looked ok, but the advertised 'steak pie with puff pastry topping' was not as described. It was a very poor quality shortcrust pie served with overcooked chips and frozen vegetablesThe staff looked disinterested and quite rude to customers who complained.I would not recommend visiting unless things change dramatically

I have been to this pub previously a couples of years ago and had greatly enjoyed the location and vibe and with it being part of the Adnams group you know what you're getting.... however after visiting yesterday after a day on the beach in Aldeburgh we were left very disappointed, the barman was unenthusiastic and when asked if they have Mosaic on, his reply was no and just gestured towards the pumps. As it was a lovely sunny day we decided to sit outside, take in mind we arrived there at 3pm nearly every single table was covered in empty glasses and dishes from the lunchtime service and in the period of our drinks not one of the tables was cleared, other customers were arriving to just juggle all the glass and cutlery onto different tables.It's such a shame that this place seems to have become so poorly managed and falls short of what you would come to expect from one of the Adnams group. I hope this msg is read and acted upon.

Good quality food and regular fresh menu. Friendly service and ideally placed for a walk either side of lunch either down to coast or through heathland to Minsmere or being part of a full round coastal/heathland walk.
