The Fountain in Suffolk Coastal

Superb place for a meal in a peaceful setting. The food is exceptional including VLADs patisserie if available. The staff are amazing and after only a few visits the actually recognise you. The menu is not overly fussy. But what they service is absolute *****. They have a chef's special menu as well. I really enjoyed their liver & mash. They even had pigeon which I have not brave enough. There's a pub menu and a 3 course "bar menu,". Whatever you order you will not be disappointed. Hubby & I go almost every weekend. In summertime outside seating is heavenly

My friends and I always come here when we meet up for lunch every few weeks. Absolutely love the quality food. Cannot fault it and prices are very reasonable too. Worth every penny.

Not Impressed! Supposed to be a recommended place to eat. 8 of us were booked in for 7pm. We got our table, but food orders weren't taken for an hour!! A waitress who clearly didn't want to be there, told us that the kitchen wad so full they couldn't take orders They could've told us first! 2 hours later, average pub grub and gastro prices. Not great to be honest 🙄

really bad service, I went to pop in for lunch today. The chef said how can I help you, said I wanted a table for 1 for some lunch. He said no sorry nothing is available. I went outside to my car and phoned The fountain asking for a table for 2, the same chef said yes we have one available in 10 mins. Funny he couldn't ask if I could wait for 10 minutes. Wont be going back! The chef was Asian appearance, maybe he doesn't like darker brown skin?

Excellent meal here - the venue has a traditional pub feel. The food came out hot and well presented, and the staff were friendly and professional. The food tasted really nice, especially for the price! Would highly recommend and would definitely come again

On my way to my next job I spontaneously decided to stop off at the Fountain for brunch , this pub has a good reputation & it didn't even cross my mind that I would be disappointed.I was greeted politely by staff , found a pleasant spot in the garden , my order of elderflower cordial & eggs benedict was taken promptly .My order arrived in good time, what was unmissable was one of my poached eggs translucent & undercooked , this was pushed to one side , shame as the eggs were wonderfully fresh , bright orange yolk, I didn't complain, if the chef couldn't see it was undercooked there's no hope , settled my bill knowing I would not return here to eat again.

Really nice food and service. Reasonably priced. Will definitely go back!
