Wide choice of excellent food served carvery style i.e. you go up to the counter and make your choice of main course (no starters) and help yourself to potatoes, veg, gravy etc. Puddings however are served at your table. Mains were all £20 when we visited and puds £6.75 making for excellent value for money. Recommended.

Went for Sunday lunch, it was pretty busy but all the food for the 2pm second sitting was freshly cooked. Has salmon, cheese and leeks and husband had beef, both meals delicious as usual. Won't leave it so long next time until we go back!

No photos - too busy tucking into my birthday lunch of spinach & aubergine curry with a side of mushroom stroganoff. Followed by cheesecake with mulled fruit. The best birthday lunch I've had in a very long time! Could not fault anything; absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful and lovely to meet David. I felt very well looked after. Just trying to find an excuse to return - SOON!

Great choice of main course and dessert dishes. Delicious food. I will be returning.

Probably the best restaurant food I've ever had. Great service, amazing food and fab atmosphere.

I went with some friends for the monthly music night & supper. The music was great and above expectations and food was very good too - all for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere and friendliness was also nice to experience.

We visited this pub for a musical event. Acoustics great, well managed, music brilliant. Food available. Limited choice due to event but very good.

Incredibly friendly, outstandingly tasty. Young son & I dropped in for Saturday lunch while on a long distance walk. Couldn't have felt more welcome. World class choice of meat, veg & sides at the carvery and hand pulled local ale in the bar.

Always fantastic food, always a very friendly welcome. During lockdown, this was the one place my boys (and I) were most looking forward to coming back to. On our visit today, we weren't disappointed! Now, when can we come back...?

A lovely lunch time buffet to be had as long as you get there at the opening times as we took a group of nine and were waited on last which meant we missed out on a couple of the buffet items. The food itself was very well cooked and would recommend for a nice family meal out
