Lovely venue with a friendly, family staff. The pies are stuffed with generous tasty fillings, and kids will eat all of their big helpings, too!

My only disappointment is that I don’t live closer to this lovely pub, I’d be back every week for the quiz! The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The food was great classic pub fare and the quiz was immense fun. Thank you for making our last holiday evening so perfect.

There were 9 in our party, we were all served together. All of the friends with pies had eyes wide at the size of their pie. Lovely fresh food, hot & presented well. Staff friendly & helpful. Lovely & clean throughout the areas.

Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome from start to finish. Good home cooked food at a reasonable price. Would recommend this restaurant which we will definitely go back to another time

Has been many years since i was last here, must be atleast 20yrs, i popped in early lunch time as car was having an MOT next door at Forge Garage. Thought i would try something simple items off the menu (its a good tester, if they can get the simple things right then the rest should follow suit) i had a white Americano coffee (1130am is too early for a beer...) and a BLT sandwich, coffee was really good, as was the BLT, really good quality bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, nice little side salad too, staff very welcoming and friendly, will return to try the beer and more substantial meals...

Booked for 6 pm on 11th December 2021 for 4. We were shown to our table by a very friendly waitress who took our drink and meal orders very professionally. She is a real credit to the Restaurant. Only fault we could find was one of the party ordered hunters chicken with chips and salad and the chicken was very "rubbery" and not very succulent, was very chewy too. This spoiled an otherwise delicious meal. Perhaps I should have said something to the waitress, but didn't want to make a fuss. Apart from that, everyone else in my group enjoyed their meals. Xmas decorations were spectacular too.

Excellent food, lovely waitress, Gabrielle, very pleasant surroundings. My first visit, will definitely be there again.

The next best thing to going out for a meal is a home delivery from the Hintlesham George. We just enjoyed an excellent Mother's Day dinner delivered exactly on time by mine host, Daniel.A good selection of freshly cooked veg, delicious roast potatoes, TWO Yorkshire pudds, a massive heap ofmeat and proper gravy for each personDelicious desserts - a crumble packed full of apple and blackberry and luxurious white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake complemented by a glass of bubbly.Thoroughly recommended, whether in or out of lockdown!(Obviously many questions in this review screen do not apply to home delivery.)

Well this was a fantastic meal out. Good old fashioned cooking. 3 courses and couldn't fault any of it. Hot, home cooked flavours the meat pie was absolutely amazing. Staff and service was excellent. One way system in place well marked out. Felt safe and comfortable.
