Extremely busy and took nearly 10 minutes to get served at the bar. Food service was relatively quick. Ordered 2 famous crab sandwiches but had to send 1 back due to finding a hair. Expensive at £10 but you get your monies worth in crab meat however found it to be quite dry. The beef dripping chips were excellent. A lot of inexperienced staff walking around not seeming to be doing much.Great location as it is at the end/beginning of the coastal walk

Enjoyed a family meal here on a mid week evening. Restaurant opened at 5pm, and it was popular but never crowded. Very comfortable. The menu is good and varied and the food was well cooked and presented. The restaurant has lovely views over the east coast, and I'd recommend the place just for the setting alone.Service was faultless. Car parking on site is limited, but there is a public car park nearby.

Nice cosy pub, very busy but managed to get a table. Had their famous crab sandwich which was extremely tasty! The rest of the menu looked good too. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area

Had the most delicious meals in the dog friendly room. Started with scallops popcorn, haddock chowder, crab soup and for main the bass and fish board. All cooked to perfection. Enjoyed it so much we booked a table 2 days later on our return journey. Very busy pub - even on a Monday. Staff are very friendly. Compliments to the chef.

The food and service here were so good we had to go twice. If you go for the fish and seafood, it is fresh and delicious. the rest of the food probably is as well, but we couldn't get beyond the fish for the main meals, though their ploughman's for lunch was one of the best I've ever tasted in 64 years!

Food is always great here. Fantastic fresh seafood. I had the fish pie today but I love the Craster Kipper too! We went on a really busy Saturday, glad we booked a table. Despite it being busy the staff were excellent and friendly. Also they were brilliantly knowledgeable about allergens so it's safe for Gluten Free/Coeliacs to eat there stress free, loads of the menu can be adapted. We'll be back for sure!

This is a traditional pub by the seaside and if you can get a seat on the sea side the views are stunning. We have previously weather here and van happy with the foodGood choice of beer but prices are slightly higher than you might expect.Still a good pub

Online booking requires a credit card in advance and threatens a charge of £10 per person for a cancellation at less than 24 hours notice. I have no problem at all with an obligation to cancel if I can't attend the booking but I object strongly to this level of financial coercion and penalty, which I regard as wholly unreasonable. If others are prepared to take the same attitude, the restaurant may be persuaded to adopt a more proportionate stance.

Our fourth visit here and still it impresses us every time. Met up with folk we hadn't seen for a couple of years for lunch and after we had finished our delicious meal we were very much left alone.Food here is great and plentiful too, our table chose smoked salmon and prawn cocktails, mussels, seafood platters, scampi, the cod loin with dauphinoise potatoes and the house burger. All were served quietly and quickly and hot.Staff were attentive without being intrusive

Currently visiting home from Canada over the Christmas period and am extremely happy we came to the Jolly Fisherman.Firstly, my fish pie was a magical mystery tour of various delicious seafood, and an absolute taste sensation. The entire table thoroughly enjoyed everything that was ordered.Secondly, even though the establishment was understaffed due to some having to isolate, management had pulled staff from their other locations, and our server in particular; Sam, was fantastic. Knowledgeable of the menu, exceptionally friendly and polite and generally pleasure to have serve us. I'm sure that Sam is a truly valuable asset to this establishment.Third, thank you to Sam, the Chefs and all the staff at the Jolly Fisherman for making our evening as wonderful as it was.Cheers to you all.
