Beautiful hidden pub- lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. Treat yourself to a dessert- the trios are lovely!

Terrible menu, not much to choose from.Beef was tough said cabbage on the menu we were brought peas, this wasn't even acknowledged by the staff. Wouldn't go back

What a brilliant pub. Warm, friendly and welcoming. Three good real ales served straight from the barrel. Very friendly barman, and regulars - obviously all well known, but if you arrive as a stranger you will definitely leave a friend. One to return to. My particular thanks to John and Mike who rescued my travels when the bus failed to turn up and gave me a lift to stowmarket. Cheers.

Good food and cheerful service. Not much for fish lovers. But great selection of everything else.

One of the best restaurants in Suffolk for genuine home cooked food. Faultless. Friendly owner and staff, lovely ambience, nice decor, a comfortable pub that makes you feel welcome.

BRILLIANT fish pie & Fish & Chips and carry out alcohol, pre order and get a time slot for collection ,but very friendly,aficiant service,super tasty and great portion size....cant wait for this beautiful little old fashioned pub to be open again, well worth a visit when it's open for business again...beer garden is so pretty ,surrounded by lots of Rose's and plants with shelter...sorry only got one picture of fish pie but also patio area.*Edit* now that summer is on its last legs the outside area has an awning and heaters and table service so you get to still enjoy the evenings and great menu outside in this lovely little Suffolk pub

Delicipus homecooked food, best non-'homemade' roast ever! Lovely village pub, so worth a visit. Recommend booking.

Felt very well looked after when we popped in this afternoon for some grub. The fish stew was, as others have commented, amazing! Nice to step away from the chains to some good home cooked grub. Thank you for having us
