What a difference the new front has made. We stayed away long before all this Covid nonsense as the pub had gone down hil. However the new garden and lights drew us back in and we are glad we did. So glad the new manager in charge knows how important a good pint of real ale is, compared to previous landlords. He allowed us a taster of the ales, and the Speckled hen won the competition. So nice.

Lovely visit today. Was looked after really well by both Paul and Michelle. Couldn't do enough for us and food was lovely. Sun shining, lovely beer, lovely garden, perfect day.

Very nice pub. And excellent value for money. Toasted sandwiches are very good.

Nice staff, big pub. Food service slow both times I had been. In fact the last time I went this month with three friends. We ordered from our table. One meal came out, then they completed the order of two on guests that arrived after us, then a little wait a second meal of four came out, 35 minutes later the last two meals of our four came out, just as I got to the bar to make a complaint! Bad service. Atmosphere good, as I said service was friendly.

You know what your getting, great friendly service, good choice off food, table service, wide choice of beverages all at fair price. Staff still waring masks to holp protect us all. Well done and thank you. See you again soon.

What a turn around this pub has had. It feels like a pub again with great staff, lovely atmosphere and a bar area I can now drink in without feeling like I am in a restaurant. Keep up the great work and thank you to the team for looking after us in such a pleasant way.

I would like to say that the new management in are brilliant, have noticed though that when they are not on shift the staff they inherited easily fall back into there lazy, bolshy attitude and I think need to be reminded that the public house is where they work and try to take on the managements new attitude to please the public before pleasing themselves, I’m sure they will win in the long run. Keep up the good work!

Good value food, friendly staff too.

We had our 5th anniversary here and we had a really nice time. We could hear the rock n roll bingo quiz going on and it was funny watching and listening to everyone - we really did enjoy ourselves. The food was perfect! The staff were friendly and polite and I needed some help with my new phone using tap n go payment and the person (woman) behind the toll was very helpful and patient. Parking was not an issue either. All in all 10/10. I recommend a visit by all means.

Absolutely loved my visit here! The atmosphere is homely and warm, and the food was absolutely amazing. I was surprised at the range of food available- from Mac n Cheese to Katsu Curry! I was lucky enough to visit for quiz night (Monday) which was a riot with friends. I couldn't recommend enough, and hope to be back soon!
