Reborn imho. Very good food excellent service. Did have another restaurant (M&C) as our regular. But The Shannon wins hands down.

My husband sister and my brother in law came to the Shannon on Saturday the 15th January where we had booked a table only hours earlier. We were greeted and looked after extremely well from our waitress who took our order to the owner regularly popping over to make sure we were happy. The food was exemplary I has the sweet potatoe with pumpkin soup followed by chilli which I have to say was out if thus world. We will definitely be frequenting this establishment again

Warm and friendly pub. The staff are very welcoming. Good atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious. We tried the burgers and wow! Quality meat, excellently cooked and a generous portion. Really good value for money. Would definitely eat here again!!

Excellent, last came here over 2 years ago, not just the same but better. Really looked after, good food good beer and can't wait to go again. The portions are huge,even the children's menu at half the size is sufficient for an adult.

I was there last night with my brother. We got there at 5.30 and Jo, our server said the last meals were being prepared and she'd check. What good luck, we were able to order. She came to take our drinks order, the last time I had been in the Shannon was 60 years ago. I was born in Ipswich, but my travels were around the world, although the rest of the family stayed close to Ipswich. I wasn't sure about the bitters, but she brought me a taster. A sure sign of a good pub. The Venison Burger I had was to die for. I thought the quality and quantity of the food was first class. I currently live in Dorset, and we are fortunate in local produce, but I had expected to pay more. Not so. Our server Jo was brilliant. I should have come back sooner!

Outdoor seating very well done and feels warm as it's generally sheltered from the wind. Really interesting menu and the burger collection is highly recommended.
