Westerfield's at the Orwell Hotel in Suffolk Coastal

Attended a banquet there.l but did not stay overnight. Good food, efficient staff and a building with loads of character. You won't find better in Felixstowe.

The buffet food was excellent but the staffs attitude and service was terrible. They did not really want to be there. Years ago it was the place to go, what a shame

Visited for Sunday lunch. The food was ok, but nothing special. No bread was served with the prawn starter and a miniscule amount with the pate. The roast beef was fatty, the parsnips seem to have been boiled not roasted and I certainly cook better roast potatoes. The service and ambiance was wonderful. The pianist was outstanding. Was it worth £80 for the 2 of us (with wine)? Probably not.

We always come to the Orwell hotel it's a beautiful hotel the food is nice the staff are great well mannered helpful and polite love the fact that the building is dated that's why we come here beats modern hotels hands down would highly recommend this hotel it's a pleasure to stay here 10 out of 10 thank you

Always a warm welcome. Some might say it’s old fashioned but I just think it’s got character. They are always improving things. Updating rooms etc. very clean and tidy. Great breakfast and a nice relaxing bar in the evening.

Expensive and the room was tired and in need of refurbishment. Only 1 available electric socket and no air conditioning. Good location within walking distance of the shops and sea front. Nice dance floor in the ballroom.

Wonderful stay, friendly staff and lovely bar to have a drink before going into your room. Would recommend.

2 night stay. First class staff. Superior room spotlessly clean, superb breakfast and evening meal. Would definitely stay again and recommend One small grouse, shower in Jason William Suite could do with updating otherwise brilliant short stay

Does what it needs to. My room was clean and tidy. My friends had a 'deluxe' room and they said they preferred my normal room. It was clean and functional. I didn't spend much time in the room so it catered for my needs. It's in a great location- easy access to amenities! The service was excellent and I would definitely go back. Enjoyed my stay overall.
