We went here for my wife's birthday while we were on holiday in the area.The staff were very friendly and polite so that was excellent.The food was decent but not great. It was average pub food standard. I had the soup (parsnip) to start which was nice and tasted homemade. For main I had the pie (chicken and mushroom) with seasonal vegetables. The pie was very dry and the vegetables were a little tasteless. Also the gravy was beef which seemed odd with a chicken pie?For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding which took a while to arrive (but to be fair it was getting busy at this point) it tasted lovely but you could tell it had been sat for a while.To go with the meal I had a pint of Ghost Ship which was excellent and you could tell it was well kept.Don't get me wrong, we had a lovely evening and I don't want to sound too negative, but I wasn't wow'd by any of it.

Looks to have been refurbished recently. Very nicely done and cosy with two open fires. A good choice of regular pub fare reasonably priced. Very friendly and helpful staff. Visited again recently and had a lovely lunch. Would highly recommend the venison sausages.

Nice friendly staff serving drinks was staying at boarding house next time will eat there as menu looking amazing with very reasonable prices

This pub was a great find. We ate here last night. The food was amazing the best meal I've ever ate out.Food was piping hot, homemade and delicious. Staff were efficient and attentive.If you're in the area this pub is well worth a visit.

Fabulous pub , we booked about 1 hour before arriving and service was excellent and more importantly friendly! Food was delicious and prices were very reasonable . The steak was insanely huge! We will definitely be returning . Very good set up of the new Covid regulations but also a nice relaxed atmosphere (child friendly also )*****

Food and staff are absolutely fantastic meals are superb anybody I would recommend. Give it a try next time your in halesworth just go there try out their food good value for money.

Great food!.... We sat inside, lovely inside. Great staff, very friendly. We went for the burger and a drink deal that they have here. I couldn't wait so the picture was taken half way through me demolishing the bacon and brie burger! So yummy!!!!!
