We dont go to the pub now as we think the manager Sarah can be very rude, tried to get a drink in there last year but said she to busy to serve us, another couple came she said the same to them, it's our local but we dont feel welcome, we go southwold or walberswick for drink now,

The food there is nice, but service wish to be better. The bar lady talks in anunprofessional way.

Stayed opposite this pub for a week and everyone has told us what an amazing place it is, which may be true if you are a regular. We went in twice and on both occasions were neither welcomed or thanked when we left or engaged in any way. We visit many pubs and this is the most unfriendly ever. The bar lady did however spend time the first evening moaning loadly about her employment conditions. She was silent the second time as the owners were in drinking.

We pulled into the car park 15 mins before opening time to be greeted by an rude aggressive woman exiting the carpark. She seemed incredulous that we would want to park. My meal was awful. The roast chicken skin was slimy and uncooked. A member of my party had to return her roast beef to be cooked longer. It arrived blue. The vegetables were tasteless. The young staff were helpful enough but it is the last we shall visit.

The service was very good considering it was only one lady serving, behind the bar, and front of house. The food was all cooked fresh, good portions, and tasted great.

Just stopped for a drink in the garden on a warmish October afternoon. Excellent service and sitting in the garden lovely views over the estuary. The meals looked great and will certainly visit again, hopefully to dine next time.

We had a similar experience as others about evening arrival time. The food was okay but quite expensive. We've eaten better for the price elsewhere. The chips were inedible so we left them without complaining when we were asked if everything was alright with the food rather than cause unpleasantness. The galette and the fish was very good however. They appeared to be understaffed. Interior pleasant but the exterior could do with some attention. Good location with views down to the river.

We booked our table for 6:30. We arrived early just after 5:30 so half an hour before the pub opened. The people who worked in the pub arrived shortly after us and repeatedly told us we don't open until 6:00. This was fine we had no problem waiting. Who we believe to be the owner then came and told us we don't open until 6:00 and we should park across the road in the large public car park. Where we were parked we were out the way and parked safely therefore there was no need for us to move to the car park across the road. At this point we were debating leaving and moving on to a different pub. When opening the gate to allow us to park in the carpark the member of staff whom opened the gate shook his head as though we were causing them an issue. A couple of the meals were enjoyed however we mentioned that that the Korean brisket was very dry we got a sorry to hear that and that was it. It was then mentioned when paying the bill again and we were told well it was slow cooked. The complaint was never fully addressed and my dad who made the complaint was clearly unhappy. It was as if what we had said did not matter and it would simply be raised with the kitchen. Overall we felt as though the customer service was very lacking. There is a note at the bottom of the menu saying that all complaints are dealt with in house and they do not respond to comments on social media. However our complaint was not handled as it should have been in house and based on the owners responses to negative feedbacks it's clear that customer service is lacking. I do not doubt people enjoy the pub as two of our meals were very nice however complaints are not handled as they should be and some members of staff did come across rude.
