Fairly ordinary, it's a shame they can't be bothered to toast the bread with the breakfasts. Bread and marg wasn't very inviting. Lovely view though.

They do the best fish and chips ever, with a friendly welcome, love this place.

This place is in a great location but inside is absolutely disgusting. If the Ferry Boat Cafe wasn't shut I would never have stopped here. We only had teas and a mars bar because there were crumbs on every surface, all round the till, the card reader is right on the food prep surface and surrounded by crumbs. Didn't see the girl clean her hands after touching the till or card reader either. There was a fly in with the tea bags. Wouldn't recommend.

Been a few times now and mostly love it. Today, sadly a tuna salad consisting of leaves and tinned tuna, slice of bread at £9.95 I don't think so 🙄

Glorified Shipping ContainerHave you ever been to one of those dodgy Roadside Burger vans? Usually made out of an old lorry body or freight container?I guess this is a bit like that, very slightly more up market on the face of it tho.Interior decor is Post Modern Shipping Container, with greasy spoon come rotten fish ambience .... Very eclectic if you were being kind.If the place wasn't perched on the beach you really wouldn't give it a second look. From memory & council planning records, this was historically only supposed to be a waiting room for the foot ferry.Seems like a bit of opportune money making by the owner to me, we've lost the quaint old waiting room (public service) for a smelly greasy spoon shipping container just to line their pockets.Says something about people that.Food not bad, although VERY pricey for a roadside burger van.Staff pleasant enough, but wish they'd wash their hands sometimes though. In short, it's an overpriced burger van making out it's something it's not, but charging as if it was......it's like paying Gordan Ramsay prices for a McDonalds. If being overcharged for something you just aren't getting sits well with you, - fill your boots.Looking at the '"Independent reviews" , it would appear that some people actually lap it up.I'd go there only for a take away cuppa, then put the money i'd not spent in 'Winkles' into a charity box, just for the opportunity to sit & look out over our beautiful river,But for nothing else.

Awesome breakfasts, fresh seafood locally caught. Great coffee. A great place to refuel and recharge. Before heading over on ferry!

Loved our delicious tuna sandwich for lunch. It was in gorgeous granary bread and came with crisps and salad. All overlooking the boats and ferry at Felixstowe. Seagulls and oystercatchers flew past. Quite lovely.

Good little cafe great location with a view. Does take card and have bowls of water for dogs. However does have limited space but definitely check it out.

Food good, staff helpful and nice, prices good compared to competition and beautiful views over the River Deben and Bawdsey. This is the place where all the people who make the ferry special go to eat.
