It was ok, normal coffee shop, but nice staff, good atmosphere

·

Food was nice but served by unfriendly staff. Customers made to feel they were an annoyance. No flexibility to accommodate customers requests, whatsoever. I would suggest the team should undertake customer service training or find themselves a job they enjoy.

As said before...a hidden gem !! Lovely food and a lovely welcome.ive called in many times over the last 2 years.very cosy /friendly in the winter /summer. A very pleasant place to relax and enjoy my free time . #thankyouteamcoachhouse .Pinky 😊

I haven't been to Brightlingsea for years and was stunned to see the waterside developments with grand-looking apartments overlooking the tidal river. The sky was grey and overcast and the tide was out which made it a bit dismal looking, but one house on the front stood out with its timber frames and topped with a windowed turret and a beautiful weather vane, but gargoyle-like at each corner of the roof was a red stone dragon looking as though they were ready to fly menacingly over you and cover you in fire. Right next door is the inviting Coach House Coffee shop which tempted me in to warm up with a large frothy latte and a generous portion of carrot cake which was gorgeously soft and gently spiced with a creamy topping. There weren't many people walking around the town on this particular Wednesday but there was a steady stream of customers many of whom seemed to be repeat visitors. When I am back this way I'll be one of them too.

Hello coach house coffee shop in berthlingsea in Essex county is very nice down by the harbour itself outside table's for when weather is good pleasant staff small but cosy atmosphere would go back again ice cream is varied selection of products to eat in or take out enjoyed my time there.

Been twice now and both times, the food was delicious..On our first visit we had an English breakfast, best we had in ages!Second time we ordered from the specials, and had a cream tea too..It's very good food, we'll be visiting again. Thanks guys. Can't reccomend more!

I would recommend for ice creams but not for food. We have just eaten there, bacon and brie panini was awful. Both myself and my husband had to pick most of the bacon out as it was just thick pieces of fat and was a funny brown colour. The panini was hard and came out several minutes after the rest of the food. Very disappointing child's menu. We had to actually ask what they did for children as it wasn't on the menus we were given. Staff were pleasant, but didn't check to see if all was OK. I feel very disappointed as the reviews are really good.

·

Very welcoming, excellent menu - particularly as it is not a huge eatery. Enjoyed the Open Omlettes as a light lunch. Will come again to this peaceful area of the county and of course to the Coach House.

Lovely coffee, lovely cake , polite and friendly service. Nice environment. Highly recommended! Also very reasonably priced.

Went in this morning greeted by 3 smiling faces and a lovely warm clean eating area. Ordered our food it arrived after a short wait and was probably the best breakfast I have eaten. We are now going to be regular customers. Many thanks
